My son Joey texted me now… Says he is ok… But he is still guilt ridden and won’t trust the Bible to let him feel forgiveness. Please pray he understands this concept. He won’t listen to me.

Thank You for the gift of Joey and for the love You have for him. Lord, right now, he's hurting and carrying a heavy burden of guilt. Please be with him, Father, and help him to understand the true meaning of forgiveness in Your word.

Open his heart, Lord, to receive Your love and grace. Help him to trust in the Bible's teachings and to know that You are a forgiving and merciful God. Remind him, Lord, that Your forgiveness is not earned but freely given through Jesus Christ.
