We are truly sorry to hear about the prolonged attacks and possible kidnapping you have endured since 1993. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's intervention and protection in your life. We will address this situation not in your own strength, but by the name of Jesus.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea (Psalm 46:1-2 WEB).
We must also consider the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:44-45 (WEB), "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. For He makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust." This does not mean we should not seek justice, as it is very clear that God desires it, but our hearts must be positioned in a way to not hate or attack our enemies. In fact, we can let God deal with them, knowing He will deal with them justly. God said, "Vengeance is Mine, and I will repay." In Deuteronomy 32:35 WEB.
However, we must also understand that forgiveness does not mean we should allow ourselves to continue to be harmed or subjected to injustice. We should seek the help of authorities and the justice system, if necessary, while also praying for those who have wronged us.
We also want to remind you of Jesus and how He did not sin, but he suffered for our sake, leaving an example, that you should follow his steps. It is written, "Who, when he was cursed, didn't curse back. When he suffered, didn't threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously." 1 Peter 2:21-23 WEB.
In addition, as you are asking for protection, we pray Psalm 3:3 WEB, "But You, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head."
We will pray together,
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Your child who has been continually attacked and held captive for far too long. We are asking that the Lord rebuke the devourer for them, in the name of Jesus, as it is written in Malachi 3:11. Father, we know that no weapon that is formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against them in judgment, they will condemn, because this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of You, Lord Yahweh. We plead the blood of Jesus over their life, breaking every curse, every chain, and every stronghold that has been holding them captive. Father, expose the works of darkness and bring those who are responsible for these heinous acts to justice, but let it be a godly justice that leads to repentance, and not an evil revenge. Surround them with Your favor as with a shield, and give Your angels charge over them, to keep them in all their ways. Give them peace and help them to forgive as it is written, "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Matthew 6:14-15 WEB.
Let us also consider that if we only had people who would have stood in prayer against these attacks on your life, these terrible events may not have happened. However, God can bring beauty from ashes. But it is something to consider for our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. To God be the glory.
Please do not forget, we have authority to cancel any assignments or curses of the enemy and declare them void. They have no power over us as it is written in Colossians 2:13-15 WEB. "You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us; and he has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross; having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it."
We need to understand that people who have been exposed to traumatic experiences, may need time to heal and understand God's love and God's justice, but that is the will of God for you.
And lastly, let us remember Psalm 27:13-14 WEB, "I had fainted, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; Be strong, and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.".
God bless you and remember to always pray in Jesus' name as there is no other name by which we can be saved, and we have been justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. This also means that even though these terrible acts happened, you will not have to be burdened by any guilt, shame, or anger, or other emotion that tries to attach itself to you because of them, because you can be set free, a new creation, as it is written, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB.
To God be the glory, forever, Amen.
