1John5:14-15
Disciple of Prayer
I’d like to post an update and request prayer again.
Some things have changed since I requested prayer last time:
1. First of all, my wife is still delusional. In fact, her delusions have gotten worse. This is probably due to the fact that she has decreased her psych medication a few weeks ago and has not increased it since. She also missed her doctor appointment to get a new prescription and he wont call in an emergency prescription for her. She will run out soon..
The positive side of this is that she has more energy and is getting more involved in everyday life. She is doing projects around the house, something she hasnt done in a long time.
2. As I said, her delusions have gotten worse. She now believes a ministerial couple we know may become "the two witnesses" of revelation and she has actually told them so.
She also thinks she and I might fulfill that role, but if God is going to give us that job, I need to have a "spiritual awakening" so I can see the truth or its not going to be us who fulfills that role. In other words, its my fault if we dont become the two witnesses, which is something she really wants to do.
The positive side to this is that she has stopped accusing me of being in league with the devil and trying to harm her. For now, we are getting along better. I'm grateful for that.
3. She still thinks that God is causing demons to torment her mind and she thinks she can’t be free until she has completed whatever tasks “god” is telling her to do. But she doesnt seem nearly as agitated as she was before I asked for prayer.
4. I spoke with my counselor again last week and he still told me to not debate with her or try to convince her that her beliefs are wrong because that will only drive a wedge between us. I still need for God to reveal the truth to her about what's really happening. I'm still asking for discernment to know what's physical and what's spiritual in nature.
5. I've asked that she would start taking different medications that would help her think better, but I really want her to not have to take medications. My ultimate goal is to see her healed completely.
While her delusions have gotten worse, her attitude towards me and has improved. I realize that her positive attitude towards me could change quickly. So, I would greatly appreciate your prayers and I would like to say "Thank you" to everyone who has prayed for us.
