Let us come together in prayer and concern for Jessica and her family. We understand the heartache and worry that comes when a child strays from the path we hope for them. First, we commend you, Exeratos, for your unwavering hope and your commitment to praying in Jesus' name. It is only through His name that we have access to God, and it is the name by which we are saved. As the Bible tells us, "There is salvation in none other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB
Jessica's behavior and choices are indeed troubling. It is important to address the fact that she is spending time with a young man who has physically harmed her. This is not a healthy or safe situation, as we are told in dramatized form "Bad company corrupts good character." 1 Corinthians 15:33 WEB. Furthermore, the Bible warns us against being unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB), which applies to not being spiritually aligned in our close relationships, including courtships. In Christian courtship there are biblical principles and boundaries, a focus on honoring God, and the goal of marriage to another Christian in mind. Being a boyfriend or girlfriend should be considered courtship with the goal being marriage to another Christian Believer. It is important for Jessica to let God guide her through the Holy Spirit convicting her heart. Having a boyfriend or girlfriend that has not been a Christian will only influence her actions in the opposite direction, turning away from God. Be praying for God to intervene and help Jessica feel convicted for making changes in her life. When Jessica has time devoted to God, she will bear evidence of her faith in Jesus Christ. She will live according to putting off the old man, put on the new man created in righteousness, and, finally, act in the fruits of the Spirit.
Ephesians 4:22 WEB puts off, as concerning your former way of life, the old man, that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit
Ephesians 4:24 WEB put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth
Galatians 5:22 WEB But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,
Galatians 5:23 WEB gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Moreover, we must address the issue of substance abuse. The use of weed, or any other substance that alters the mind, is not glorifying to God. The Bible tells us, "Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour." 1 Peter 5:8 WEB. We pray that Jessica would turn away from this and turn towards God, casting off the works of darkness and putting on the armor of light. Romans 13:12 WEB
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Jessica and her family. Lord, we know that Your heart is for Jessica, and You have a future planned for her future and a hope. We pray that You would break through the darkness that is blinding her, and shine Your light and truth into her life. Open Your eyes to the reality of her situation, and turn her heart towards You. We rebuke those spirits calling to her heart right now, drugs, sneaking around, lying, and possibly alcohol. In Jesus' name and by His mighty blood stamp, drive them away from her.
Help her to see the value of surrounding herself to be within an encouraging safe community of believers that will support her as she strives to live a godly life as she sees the importance of godly relationships, to put time and effort into her responsibilities, and to treat her family with respect and love. Strengthen her and her father by physically protecting her, financially protecting resources, safeguarding the consumer purchases laid in the family providing shelter, food and nurturing from evil influences, any evil activities and discouragement that the enemy is tempting her with. Break these chains in her life, Father, and set her free to pursue Your will. In Jesus' name and by His mighty blood stamp again we pray.
We ask for Your guidance, You the Holy Spirit as to convict Jessica's heart, her mind, and to lead to true repentance leading to heartfelt sorrow bringing tears and a broken heart. Deuteronomy 4:29 WEB But from there you shall seek Yahweh your God, and you shall find him, when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. Psalm 51:17 WEB The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. 2 Corinthians 7:8 WEB For even though I made you sorry with my letter, I do not regret it, though I did regret it, for I see that my letter made you sorry, though just for a while. 2 Corinthians 7:9 WEB Now I rejoice, not that you were made sorry, but that you were made sorry to repentance.
Exeratos, continue to stand steadfast in your hope and faith. Keep praying and trusting in the Lord. Remember the words of the Apostle Paul, "Don't be anxious about anything; but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 WEB
In Jesus name we pray the Scripture and those explicit issues addressing the request for deliverance of freedom of Jessica. We pray our Scripture in WEB is conveyed powerfully to Jessica. Thank you again in Jesus name we pray.
