Disciple of Prayer
My prayer partner's mother, Jean, age 72, is still in the throes of COVID in a teaching hospital w/a policy that 1 family member + 1 support person (because they insisted) can visit Jean 2 days per week. Jean is no longer being sedated, is being ventilated through a tracheotomy, has a lot of edema, and has been battling numerous fungi and bacterial infections common to patients in hospitals. The antibiotics are working for the infections, but they are not addressing the edema at all. Neither do they have Jean on any steroids that might help strengthen her lungs. Brenda is reading medical journals into the night, sensing that her mother is not getting the proper care. We don't trust the medical team. Jean's lungs are still having problems with a little bit of leakage but through strong prayer, the situation "resolved itself" to the surprise of the drs. The amount of protective gear does not allow Jean to be touched, stroked, or massaged. The limited amount of time with her does not allow her to hear the voices of her family members. Even after positive medical improvements are acknowledged by the drs, they begin talking about how dire Jean's health is--right in FRONT of her! Jean's husband is 79, and has some dementia. Daughters have noticed how the medical team attempts to manipulate him as he is the one making the decisions. In previous times, while praying for others in this hospital, I had a very strong sense of a principality hovering over this hospital, as if its policy makers are more interested in $ than lives. In addition, if a patient dies of COVID in their care, they are gifted with federal money so there is $ incentive. It is so sad to be saying this but it is a sign of the times. Brenda, Chris (another sister) and I are prayer partners and we are rolling up our sleeves to do battle against this spirit. We are going into a fast tomorrow and asking for courage, strength, and the proper legal Christian and/or God-fearing advocate(s) to voice our concerns about Jean's care. While Brenda asked for Ivermectin initially from Jean's primary care dr, he refused. We now have empirical evidence in peer-reviewed studies that even in late stages, Ivermectin can bring a patient back to health. Please agree with us in prayer that we are VICTORIOUS in doing as the Lord Jesus Christ would have us do--stand for Truth, Love, Justice, and Compassion in His Holy and Precious Blood and in His Mighty Name! AMEN!
