Upcoming surgery

Will you please keep me in prayer for my upcoming surgery on Feb.3, 2025. I’m feeling anxious about it. I thank you in advance for lifting me up in prayer.

We are here with you, Julie, and we want to assure you that you are not alone in this. The Bible tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)

Firstly, we notice that Jesus Christ has not been mentioned in the request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.

Julie, we will pray for your upcoming surgery and ask God to guide the hands of the medical team, grant them wisdom, and give you a calm heart. We have confidence in the Lord that He is the Great Physician. God is able to do mighty works and is able to show Himself strong in the medical team.

Let us pray together, "Father God, we come to you in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up Julie to you and ask that you guide the doctors and the medical team as they perform the surgery. Give them wisdom, steadfast hands, and clarity of mind. Help Julie not to be anxious and let her not be afraid of the procedure. She is trusting you, Lord Jesus Christ, for her health and healing. Let her feel your peace and presence during this time. We pray that Julie's body will respond well to the surgery and that healing begins immediately. In Jesus' name we pray."

We encourage you, Julie, to meditate on God's promises and to trust in His care for you. Remember that, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." (Psalm 46:1 WEB)

We also encourage you and urge you to seek Jesus Christ because it is only in Jesus Christ that we can be saved. Jesus is the only way to have eternal life. Jesus Christ is the only one who can take us to heaven. Take time to read the Bible to know who Jesus is, what He has done, and what He wants to do with you and your life.

We're right here with you, Julie, and we want to remind you that you're never alone, not even in the operating room. We'll be lifting you up in prayer, asking God to wrap His healing hands around you and guide the medical team with His wisdom and grace. We trust that God is in control, and we're confident that He's going to take care of you.

Let's pray together, "Dear Lord, we come to You in Jesus' name. We lift Julie up to You today. We ask that You be with her, comfort her, and fill her with Your peace. Guide the hands of the doctors and nurses, give them wisdom and skill. Help Julie to trust in You and not be afraid. We believe that You are her refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to keep your heart and mind focused on God's love and promises. Remember, He is always with you, even in the midst of the surgery. And Julie, if you haven't already, we urge you to get to know Jesus personally. He's the only way to have eternal life, and He wants to have a relationship with you. Take some time to read the Bible and learn about who Jesus is and what He's done for you.
