CaliAlex, we are lifting you up in prayer for your health and strength. We pray that you will be honest with yourself and your employer about your current ability to work.
In Matthew 11:28-30 WEB, Jesus says, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
We pray that you will find rest and healing in Jesus Christ. He cares for you and does not want you to be overwhelmed. It is important to remember that your health is a gift from God and that you should not put yourself in a position where you are compromising it.
In Galatians 6:9, WEB, And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not lose heart.
Please notice in this verse, it is talking about doing good, and not about just any activity. If the activity you are involved in is not doing good, you might be involved in an activity that you should stop.
We also encourage you to examine your priorities and ensure that your work does not come before your relationship with God and your health. Remember that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and you should treat it with care.
I Corinthians 10:31, WEB, Whether, therefore, you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Notice how this verse mentions, eating, drinking and whatever you do, implying that you have a choice and therefore are responsible for those choices. If your activities are not helping you to serve God and you are damaging your body or relationships you need to seriously consider stopping them. If you are committed to an activity such as work, marriage, or something similar and it is bad for you or hinders your ability to serve God then it can be compared to slavery. It can therefore be compared to a yoke, where you are having to do things to work, pay the bills, feed the children, or for other reasons, so therefore are not a free person to decide if you can even stop. However, sometimes the best choice is to do as you are told to do in I Corinthians 10:31 WEB.
In I Corinthians 7:32-34, WEB, But I desire to have you to be free from cares. He who is unmarried is concerned for the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord; but he who is married is concerned for the things of the world, how he may please his wife. There is also a difference between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares about the things of the worldβhow she may please her husband.
Again, we need to be very concerned if our activities interfere with our serving the Lord. Remember, it is better to be serving God than to be the CEO of a fortune 500 company, or whatever your career may be, and be lukewarm in serving the Lord.
We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, and that he will guide and heal you, according to God's will. We pray for wisdom and discernment, that you may make decisions that honor God and prioritize your well-being. Remember, it is by Jesus' stripes we are healed, but if you are injured or sick from unhealthy activities that you are participating in that you should stop, then the blood of Jesus Christ might not cover those poor choices.
I Peter 2:24 WEB, He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds.
I Peter 2:24 clearly mentions that it was sins that Jesus paid for on the cross and not poor decisions.
And thank you for using the name of Jesus in your request, for it is the name above all names.
Therefore also God highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11 WEB.
It is also good to remember this verse, that those of us who do not believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and call on His name in our prayers do not have access to the Father. Therefore, it is essential that we pray to the Father in Jesus name.
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 WEB.
Father, we thank you for CaliAlex and pray that you will help her or him to consider their priorities in Jesus' name. Help them to focus on honoring you and having a healthy lifestyle, trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ and keeping him first and foremost in their lives.
