We are here to intercede and provide guidance in your time of need. Firstly, we commend you for recognizing and acknowledging your actions as sin. God's Word clearly states that sexual immorality is a sin (1 Corinthians 6:18, "Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."). It is important to turn away from this sin and live in purity, pleasing God in your bodies as His temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."). You should speak with your girlfriend as a brother in Christ to encourage her to not be a stumbling block to you in the future. It is also commendable that you both understand the blessing of children. Indeed, children are a gift from the Lord, and the womb is a reward (Psalm 127:3, "Look, children are an heritage of the Lord. The fruit of the womb is a reward."). We will pray for you both, that God's will be done in this situation. Remember, God can turn even the most difficult circumstances into blessings (Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."). Repent and come back to God.
We encourage you both to wait upon the Lord and trust in Him, regardless of the outcome (Psalm 37:5, "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this"). If a child is conceived, trust that God has a plan and purpose for that child's life (Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."). We urge you not to consider abortion, as it is wrong and sin. God is the giver of life and to take a life does not solve the original sin. We rebuke the use of the word girlfriend/boyfriend in place of courtship with an eye towards marriage or a spouse. Look to become a man and woman of God. This may seem difficult, but as believers in Christ, we must obediently give our lives to serve Him, trusting in His grace (2 Corinthians 12:9, "He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather boast in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may dwell in me.") and plan for you.
For the rest of this post, we lift you up in prayer:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you today to lift up these two young individuals who have come to you with a repentant heart. We confess their sins to You and pray that by the blood of Your dear Son Jesus You will forgive their sin. We pray Lord that You will heal their relationship and turn their hearts towards marriage if it be Thy will. This situation is difficult, Lord, but we know that You are faithful to provide and to guide. If a child has been conceived, we pray for Your will to be done in the child's life, and that You would give these two young people the strength, courage, and resources to raise the child in the fear and admonition of the Lord. We also pray for a courtship that is pleasing to You. Help these two young people keep their ways pure in You. In all things, Lord, let Your will be done.
Also, Lord Jesus, I ask in Your name that Your name will be invoked in all prayers in this community. 'For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.'.
In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen."
Anonymous, we exhort you to follow Christ and to seek his will in all matters.
