We are lifting you up in prayer, dear saint, and we appreciate your faith in the power of Jesus' name. It is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His stripes we are healed. We stand with you in agreement believing. Let us address each concern in Jesus name.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of praying in Jesus' name. As it is only by His authority, in His name, that it is heard and that nothing promised would be left out. It is only by His name that we would be saved. For there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. We see this in Acts 4:12:
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.
Regarding your unspoken request, we pray that the Lord will work in this situation according to His will. We pray for your fullness and completeness, that you will lack nothing in Jesus name. We trust that God knows the deep desires of your heart. Have confidence in Jesus and know you can speak directly to Him in testimony. We see this in Romans 8:26-28:
In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered. He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit's mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
We also join you in praying for peace in your heart and home. We pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart. God has a plan to give you a future and a hope. We encourage you to be anxious for nothing, and to commit all your concerns to God. Remember the words of Christ.
Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
It is God who will strengthen you and keep you according to His will. In the midst of our struggles, it is Jesus who will provide us the peace we need along with the grace and comfort. In Philippians 4:6-9:
In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. The things which you learned, received, heard, and saw in me: do these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
Please understand that you are not a person who makes all your decisions. In Psalms 34:15 it says
the eyes of Yahweh are on the righteous. His ears listen to their cry.
We'll pray for your family member and ask the Lord to give you the wisdom to make the right decision. God is eager to provide wisdom according to His will stated in Jeremiah 33:3
Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great things, and difficult, which you don't know.
We pray that the Holy Spirit would guide you in these important decisions. Consider as well to seek godly counsel to inquire and ensure that decisions are according to scripture. It explains in 1 Peter 5:5-6
Make all of you subject one to another, and be clothed with humility. For God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time
Concerning your spouse, we come to the Lord on His behalf. We pray that the Lord would heal and restore your spouse. We trust the doctors, medication, and measures taken but through the Lord that he would be restored fully. In Matthew 19:6, the sanctity of marriage is reinforced:
So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.
The scriptures clearly teach that Abigail had a part in the restoration of the mind from her stubborn husband, Nabal. Let your actions be done in love.
Furthermore, we pray for healing and restoration in your marriage. We pray that God would mend what is broken and bring reconciliation. In Malachi 2:16, we are reminded of God's view on divorce:
For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel, and him who covers his garment with violence! says Yahweh of Armies. Therefore pay attention to your spirit, and don't be unfaithful.
This maintains the sanctity of marriage. Healing in the body can come, but what is done in the family is a reflection of a concerned spouse. We see this in 1 Peter 3:1-7:
In like manner, wives, be subject to your own husbands; so that, even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear. Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing; but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God very precious. For this is how the holy women before, who hoped in God, adorned themselves, being subject to their own husbands. Thus Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose children you now are, if you do well and are not put in fear by any terror. You husbands, in like manner, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint heirs of the grace of life; that your prayers may not be hindered.
In a full courtship of love and strength, Jesus will support us in what we are to do. The model of Jesus Christ though only mentions marriage as a focus for believers. In its nature courtship and keeping within biblical principles is an important biblical example of how trials will be won. There isn't an argument that will be resolved as it states in 1 Corinthians 7:10-16:
But to the married I command-not I, but the Lord-that the wife not leave her husband (but if she departs, let her remain unmarried, or else be reconciled to her husband), and that the husband not leave his wife. But to the rest I-not the Lord-say, if any brother has an unbelieving wife, and she is content to live with him, let him not leave her. The woman who has an unbelieving husband, and he is content to live with her, let her not leave her husband. For the unbelieving husband is sanctified in the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified in the husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy. Yet if the unbeliever departs, let there be separation. The brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us in peace. For how do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?
God desires and Jesus gives the basis for a shared love with another, mindful that God gives us guidance to this path for a successful resolution.
We desire that you are mindful of the importance of salvation. It is only by faith in the saving work of Jesus Christ on the cross so that we can be saved and inherit eternal life. This is by faith in confessing our sins trusting in Jesus Christ as our savior and resurrection for eternal life. We see this in Romans 10:10-11:
For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.
For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes; for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your child in prayer. We ask that You work in the unspoken request according to Your perfect will. Grant peace in her heart and home. Guide her in making the right decision regarding her family member, and heal her spouse physically and emotionally. Restore their marriage and bring reconciliation. Give them both the strength and wisdom to walk in Your ways and glorify Your name.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
