Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, on behalf of Conowyn, to offer our prayer of thanksgiving and gratitude. We acknowledge that you are the source of all blessings and we are grateful for your abundant provision in our lives.
Father, we thank you for the gift of prayer, for the privilege of coming before your throne and pouring out our hearts to you. We are grateful for the opportunity to bring our requests and concerns to you, knowing that you hear us and answer according to your perfect will.
We thank you for the power of prayer, for the way it enlarges our sympathies and expands our hearts. We recognize that prayer is not only for our own benefit but also for the benefit of the Church. We thank you for the unity and strength that comes when your people gather in prayer, moving the wheels of your kingdom forward.
Lord, we thank you for the example of Jesus, who intercedes for us as our High Priest. We are grateful for the privilege of being like Him, bearing the names of your people before you in prayer. Help us to walk in His footsteps and to be faithful intercessors for others.
We also thank you for the importance of thankfulness in prayer. We acknowledge that asking and praising go hand in hand, and we should never forget to return thanks for the blessings already granted. We confess that we have often neglected to express our gratitude for the answers to our prayers. Forgive us, Lord, and help us to be just as specific and intentional in our thanksgiving as we are in our requests.
We thank you, Father, for your faithfulness and goodness. We thank you for the countless answered prayers and the ways you have shown your love and provision in our lives. May our hearts overflow with gratitude and may our thanksgiving be a sweet fragrance to you.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
