We are truly sorry to hear that your last Christmas was ruined by ungodly influences. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's protection and restoration. Remember, Jesus said, But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with the cares of this life, and that day come on you suddenly as a snare. This text reminds us that we should be careful to not allow ourselves to fall into sudden traps that cause us harm. Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ. We pray that you will heal the pain and disappointment they experienced last Christmas. We rebuke the enemy and any ungodly influences that sought to ruin their joy and peace.
Lord, we ask for your protection over them and their future Christmases. May your holy angels surround them and guard them from any further attacks. We pray that their hearts will be filled with your love, joy, and peace, and that they will experience the true meaning of Christmas, which is the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Father, we also pray that they will forgive those who have wronged them, as your word tells us in Ephesians 4:32, And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Help them to release any bitterness or resentment, and to trust in your justice and timing.
We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who sits at your right hand, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. Amen.
Remember, the Bible tells us in Romans 8:28, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Trust that God can turn even the most painful experiences into opportunities for growth and blessing.
Stay strong in your faith, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. He is the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
