Unexplained spiritual presence in me.

Hi my name is ###. I have had an oppression on my brain for years after I was sexually sinning a while and heard a voice outside me say Just Die. ### months ago I asked God to take the oppressive depression of my brain and then I felt a release from it but then I felt a great stimulation on my brain. One day in my spirit I felt total wrath and I felt hate for God Jesus and the Holy Spirit that was really weird and I felt this for a few months and then in my spirit I heard a voice tell me I don't deserve to live on earth and I literally felt this for months and every time I wanted to think thankful thoughts or say thank you or have gratitude I felt a presence in me resisting me from doing that. I thought it has to be God Himself doing this to me who else has such power. I heard a voice inside me say I have considered Jesus blood as a common sacrifice and I'm going to hell and will be put on a cross for eternity. These feelings are leaving me but I feel no Love for God or people I think I'm damned after being a Christian for years and Loving God and Jesus. Anyone know what this is. Thank You

Kurt, we understand that you're going through a deeply troubling time, and we want to address your concerns with biblical guidance and prayer. First, let's acknowledge that you've had experiences that are not from God. God does not tell anyone to die or that they do not deserve to live. God does not suppress gratitude or love. God does not speak with wrath to those who seek out Him. It's also very important to seek a competent Christian counselor or Christian therapist if what you are experiencing is recurring and overwhelming with disturbing thoughts.

God is love and His kindness endures forever. What you're experiencing is not from God, but it could be a result of an attack from the enemy or even the psychological burden of an afflicted past trauma. The enemy often tries to mimic God's voice to cause confusion and despair.

Let's turn to the scriptures. The Bible tells us God does not want anyone to perish, but He wants all people to have the opportunity to change their hearts and lives and turn to Him (2 Peter 3:9 WEB). The Word says that God loves us with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3 WEB).

The Bible also warns us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. It warns us to put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB).

Regarding the voice you heard, we must discern the spirits to see if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world (1 John 4:1 WEB). If the voice is accusing you, causing you to feel like God has rejected you, you must understand God's forgiveness. The gospel of Christ is not of works, so that no man can boast (Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB).

Jesus has saved us and redeemed us by His blood, and forgiven us our trespasses (Colossians 1:14 WEB). His sacrifice was not common but a holy offering to God. Christ's death on the cross was once and for all (Hebrews 7:27 WEB).

Fornication and sexual immorality are issues you seem to tie to the root cause of your experiences. Fornication while you were unmarried is sinful (1 Corinthians 7:2 WEB). Homosexuality is immoral and runs contrary to God's word (Romans 1:26-28 WEB) and God destroyed cities for homosexuality and fornication (Jude 1:7 WEB). You must understand you are now bought with a price (1 Corinthians 6:20 WEB). Flee sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB).

As Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30 WEB).

The mental battle you are experiencing is one many Christians face. You have your own responsibility to think on what is true, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent, or praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8 WEB).

To address your last issue, if Jesus is not being mentioned in your prayers, then what is a sinner's basis for salvation. He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6 WEB) If a man does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not of Him. (Romans 8:9 WEB).

Let's pray for you in Jesus' name:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up ###. Lord, we rebuke any spiritual attack on ###'s mind and emotions. We command any spirit of oppression, depression, wrath, hatred, and suicide to leave in Jesus' name.

Father God, we specifically pray for the all blood-bought saint of Jesus Christ ### by name. We pray for the Holy Spirit to witness to ###'s human spirit and for ### to know by this experience he is a child of God (Romans 8:16 WEB). Lord, we pray for ### to experience the fog lifting from his mind, so he can understand the way He should go (Psalm 25:5 WEB).

Lord, we pray for ### to know you love him and have a purpose for him (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). We pray for ###'s ability to repent of his sins and plead Jesus' blood. We pray for Jesus to resurrect ###'s relationship with Him, the Father, and the Holy Spirit.

We pray you restore ###'s beloved spirit of Thankfulness, the fruit of the Spirit, Love and joy, and for your peace that passes all understanding. Lord, we pray you reveal yourself to ###, the beloved, and may your goodness be evident in your care for ### and restoration and healing of his mind. In Jesus’ name, we pray.

Father God, restore ###'s prayer to a living and holy prayer that you will hear (John 9:31 WEB).
