We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and distress caused by these relatives. It's important to remember that God calls us to love even our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, as difficult as that may be. Let's turn to the scriptures for guidance.
The Lord Jesus said, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44 WEB.
Going no contact was a wise decision to protect yourself from further harm. It's crucial to set boundaries and refuse mistreatment, just as you did. God does not condone bullying or abusive behavior. He wants us to treat each other with kindness and respect. As it is written,
Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. Ephesians 4:29 WEB
Let's pray together.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our ### who has been hurt by those she trusted. Lord, we ask You to heal her wounds, both emotional and spiritual, and to surround her with Your loving presence. Help her forgiveness towards them. We pray that You will work in the hearts of these relatives, that they may see the error of their ways and seek forgiveness.
We also pray that You will provide our ### with godly friends and family who will support and encourage her, again in Jesus name. Guide her on how to interact, set boundaries, and possibly reconcile if appropriate. We ask for peace in the place of pain, confusion, and anger. We ask that You bring justice in the place of injustice. We also pray for the salvation of these relatives and ask that if there is any way we can pray or act to bring them to Jesus.
We are mindful that this is only possible by the name of Jesus Christ and no other name. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. However, the name of Jesus Christ is not magic, but was given to the Son of God who came to earth, died for us, and rose again. It is by faith in this truth that we have access to God. We all will be saved and empowered by this truth if we believe.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Stay strong in the Lord, and remember that He is always with you. Continue to stand firm in your faith and trust that God will handle this situation according to His will. Be open to reconciliation if it honors God, but always ensure you are treating others with the love and respect that Christ modeled for us.
