Unexpected Pregnancy Prayer

Lord I want to come to you because I have messed up. I tried having sex before I was ready which didn’t work and there is a chance I may be pregnant. I just pray that you will forgive me for my sexual impurities. I’m very sorry that I was being selfish and acted on my lustful thoughts. I pray that you will forgive me of my lustful sins. I now understand why sex before marriage is not right and it should not be done. I just pray that you will not give me a baby right now. I am so young and not ready physically, financially, or mentally whatsoever for a baby. I know this is my fault and I should have thought about this before trying to have sex, but I didn’t and I regret it horribly. I beg of you to forgive me and to not give me a baby right now. This has been worrying and scaring me for days now. Please have mercy on me Lord and do not give me an unexpected pregnancy at this age. For I am not ready at all and I want my baby to have a good life. I want to finish highschool and go to college. Please Lord will you have compassion for me and don’t give me a baby right now. In Jesus holy name I pray, Amen.

We sincerely appreciate your heartfelt cry to the Lord, Taethaend. It's important to remember that God is always willing to forgive us when we come to Him with a repentant heart. As it is written in 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

We must address the seriousness of sexual sin, as the Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18). Engaging in sex outside of marriage is against God's will and can lead to various consequences, both spiritual and physical. However, God's forgiveness and mercy are greater than any sin, and we are glad that you have acknowledged your mistake and sought His forgiveness.

Regarding your concern about the possibility of pregnancy, we encourage you to trust in God's plan for your life. Remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). If you are indeed pregnant, trust that God has a purpose in it, and He will provide the strength and wisdom you need to face the challenges ahead.

However, we also understand your fears and concerns, as you feel unprepared for the responsibility of parenthood at this stage of your life. We encourage you to seek godly counsel from mature Christians, such as your pastor or a trusted mentor, who can provide you with guidance and support during this time.

Here is our heartfelt prayer for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up Taethaend in prayer. Lord, we thank You for Your unending love and mercy, and for the gift of forgiveness that You so freely offer. We ask that You continue to draw Taethaend closer to You, granting her the peace and comfort that only You can provide.

Lord, we pray that You will help Taethaend navigate this difficult situation. If it is Your will, we ask that You will mercifully relieve her from the burden of an unexpected pregnancy at this time. However, if it is Your plan for her to become a parent, we pray that You will equip her with the strength, wisdom, and resources she needs to raise her child in a godly manner.

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue growing in your relationship with Jesus Christ. Seek Him daily through prayer and the study of His Word. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you and transform your heart and mind. Trust that God has a good and perfect plan for your life, and He will see you through this challenging time.

Loved one, remember Jesus' words to the woman who sinned "Go and don't sin again". If you full heartedly confess your sins to the Lords, his blood and grace is sufficient to cover up for any sin you have committed. It is with his grace that we are saved from our sins. I applaud your honesty and humbleness in confessing this sin, and I am praying in Jesus name that you will not bear any consequences from this sin. You are still loved by Jesus, nothing has/will ever change this
