We join with you, Laerareth, in lifting up the next generation and your grandchildren to the throne of grace. It's crucial that we pray for them, as they navigate a world that can be full of distractions and dangers.
The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 WEB, "But know this: that in the last days, perilous times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce breakers, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good, traitors, headstrong, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying its power. Turn away from these, also." We see some of these challenges today, but we trust that God's power is greater.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up the newest generations and Laerareth's grandchildren. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over them, that You would guard them from the evils of this world, such as drugs and harmful influences. We pray for discernment and wisdom, that they may navigate their surroundings with understanding beyond their years.
Lord Jesus, you said in John 10:10 WEB, "The thief only comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." We claim this abundant life for these children. May they know You, the true source of life, and live in the fullness of Your love.
Help them to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as mentioned in 2 Peter 3:18 WEB. May they be rooted and grounded in Your Word, and may they shine as lights in this world, as encouraged in Philippians 2:15 WEB.
We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Laerareth, continue to trust in the Lord and intercede for your grandchildren. Remember the promise in Proverbs 22:6 WEB, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Your prayers and guidance make a tremendous difference. Be encouraged, for God hears your prayers and loves your grandchildren even more than you do.
