Let us begin by acknowledging that all good things come from God, and He orders our steps. It is wonderful that you seek God's will in your friendship with Daniel.
Firstly, we notice that Jesus' name is not mentioned. We must remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach God. As it is it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. If either of you are not Christians who have confessed with your mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in your hearts that God raised him from the dead, that is the most urgent thing to address. The scripture can guide us in this:
Joel 2:32 It will come to pass, that whoever will call on the name of Yahweh (the Lord) shall be saved; for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as Yahweh (the Lord) has said, and among the remnant, those whom Yahweh (the Lord) calls.
Acts 2:21 For whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
This is especially important in relationships.
Friendship is a blessing from God, and it is encouraging to see that you both desire to support and guide each other according to God's Word. Proverbs 27:17 says, As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens the wit of another. This verse underscores the importance of mutual encouragement and growth in a friendship.
As you pray for your friendship to blossom, we want to encourage godly intimacy, which is rooted in purity, respect, and a shared love for Christ, and the goal of a Christian marriage between a man and a woman. Let us pray that God will guide your relationship according to His will.
Hebrews 13:4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.
Remember, 2 Corinthians 6:14 tells us, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? If either of you are not Christians, we strongly encourage you to seek God individually and to pray for each other's salvation.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, as believers in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Anonymous and Daniel. We thank You for their friendship and pray that You continue to guide them according to Your will. Help them to support and listen to each other, and to grow together in Your Word.
Lord, we pray for their salvation and that they would be equally yoked in their love and worship of You. We pray that their friendship will blossom in a way that honors You, and that they will remain pure and respectful towards each other.
If it is Your will, Lord, we pray that this friendship may grow into a godly marriage commitment, founded on Your principles and rooted in Your love through Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
May God bless you both and guide your friendship.
