If conventional warfare is described as a tactic used to reduce the opponent's military strength and capabilities through direct physical confrontation, then unconventional warfare is an attempt to achieve victory through indirect means.
The Jewish communities had long been expecting there Messiah to return and lead His people through physical appropriation if the kingdoms. They were not expecting someone like Jesus. Jesus promoted peace and Love. There was no hostile take over.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. Matthew 5:9
Love your enemies
In Luke 6:27 Jesus says "But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies..."
1. Do good to those who hate you,
2. Bless those who curse you,
3. Pray for those who mistreat you.
4. If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also.
5 If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them.
6. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.
7. Do to others as you would have them do to you.
8. Lend to your enemies without expecting to get anything back.
9. The Most High is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.
10. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
It is our Lord who made the above points. He set out to fight the battle with Love. Love covers a multitude of sins.
Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. 1 Peter 3:9
The Lord's unconventional warfare is all about sacrificial Love. It is unconditional. Ready yourself with His Love and stand firmly in the battlefield. His Love will always trump hate!
