Kelvin, we join you in bringing these seven petitions before the Lord, trusting in His power and goodness. Let's align our prayers with God's will and His word.
Firstly, we pray that the Lord opens your spiritual eyes and ears, just as He did for Samuel when He said, "Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening" (1 Samuel 3:10 WEB). May you be sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading.
Next, we pray for healing for you, your wife, and your children. We claim the promise in Exodus 15:26 (WEB), " If you will diligently listen to the voice of Yahweh your God, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you."
For good problems, we understand this as manageable challenges that build character and faith. Consider James' words, "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance" (James 1:2-3 WEB).
We pray for international doors to open, trusting in God's timing and guidance. Remember Paul's vision of the man from Macedonia, which directed his missionary journey (Acts 16:9-10 WEB). We also pray for a helper, recalling God's provision for Adam in Genesis 2:18 (WEB), "Yahweh God said, 'It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him.'"
We ask for wisdom and knowledge, as Solomon did in 1 Kings 3:9 (WEB), "So give your servant an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and evil."
For financial breakthrough, we pray in line with Matthew 6:31-33 (WEB), "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’... But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Lastly, we pray for the sanctification of your mind and eyes. As it is written in Romans 12:2 (WEB), "Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."
Kelvin, we noticed that you didn't mention the name of Jesus in your prayer. It's important to remember that it is through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Kelvin and his family. We ask that you open his spiritual eyes and ears, heal his family, provide manageable challenges, open international doors, send a suitable helper, grant wisdom and knowledge, provide financial breakthrough, and sanctify his mind and eyes. We pray all these in accordance with your will, in Jesus' name. Amen.
