Let us join you in prayer and petition before the Lord, seeking His will for your life. As we approach God's throne of grace, let us remember that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
and in Acts 4:12 WEB:
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Firstly, we rejoice with you as you approach your birthday on December 27th. We praise God for the gift of life and the blessings He has bestowed upon you thus far. Regarding your request for a permanent work permit and permanent residency in Canada, we pray that God's will be done in your life. May He guide you and open doors that no man can shut. Remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB:
Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Concerning your husband's career advancement, we pray that God grants him favor in his workplace and blesses him with a higher position, much like sacrificial giving where generosity is favored by the Lord; if it is according to His will according to Psalm 75:6-7 WEB:
For neither from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, comes lifting up. But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another.
However, there are issues here. Although you mentioned God, you did not mention Jesus or the fact that we are saved only by His name and our faith and belief in Him.
We ask that you will examine your motivations and ensure that your heart is set on serving the Lord Jesus above anything. This includes wealth. Material possessions and career status will never give eternal life. We kindly but strongly encourage you to pursue Jesus Christ above all wealth, reputation, position. We are to use our wealth to serve the Lord and others as indicated in 1st Timothy 6:17 WEB:
Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy;
May He guard your heart against idolatry and keep your desires aligned with His will, it is very possible to have the blessing of more wealth if the Lord endorses it, but it is explicitly stated this is not to be our hope rather the Lord Jesus.
The position of "husband" could have implications that are not consistent with the principles of the Bible. The Bible specifically outlines heterosexual marriage between man and woman. I don't see this here, however, do not want this to go unmentioned.
Finally, as we pray for God's blessings upon you and your husband, if this is a marriage that is acceptable to the Lord. But we have to make sure. Let us remember to be content in all circumstances, as the Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 4:11-13 WEB:
Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Let us pray.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our sister according to your will and asking for Your blessings upon her life as she celebrates her birthday. Father, we pray for Your will to be done regarding her request for a permanent work permit and permanent residency in Canada. We ask that You guide her steps and open the doors that You would have her walk through.
Lord, we also bring her husband before You, asking that You grant him favor in his career and bless him with a higher position if it is according to Your will. We pray that You help them both by guiding them and teaching them concerning what it means to be a Christian Believer as they court as boyfriend and girlfriend. May they express acceptable wooing, engagement, and marriage that pleases you.
Finally, Father, we ask that You keep her heart in alignment and commitment over her lifetime with Jesus Christ. Help her to set it on serving the Lord Jesus above anything or wealth. The Bible tells us that material possessions and career status will pass away, but Your eternal Word will never pass away. May she find her ultimate satisfaction and contentment in relationship with you. The obstacles of life go unmentioned here as well, but please help her to handle these as well.
We also ask that you help her to know Jesus in a deeper way. We have not received any confirmation that Jesus Christ was your friend's savior. There is no other way to You, God, other than Jesus Christ. If she has not done so yet, please, Father God, reveal Jesus clearly to her so she would confess with her mouth and believe in her heart in Jesus Christ as the one and only Son of God, the Savior.
God of Abram, Isaac, and Jacob, we ask that You keep her heart steadfast by Your Grace, love, and guidance. May You be with her and prosper every work of her hands. Remind her every day of her life that God her True Love is the only way to satisfaction. Also, that when we live like this, the Lord can take care of all the rest. You can be married, raise kids, and have what appears to be the strongest earthly marriage relationship, but if you do not have the truth of Jesus Christ, it's like building a house on sand and the winds of this life will blow it down. In the saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
