We understand that you're going through a distressing time, and we want to assure you that your struggle is not obnoxious or stupid. The Bible tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12, WEB).
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power in the name of Jesus. It is only through His name that we can be saved and have authority over unclean spirits (Acts 4:12, Mark 16:17, WEB). However, we want to encourage you to also have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, if you don't already. It's not just about using His name, but knowing Him personally and being born again (John 3:3, WEB).
We rebuke the unclean spirit that is tormenting you. Jesus said, "And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new languages; they will pick up serpents with their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." (Mark 16:17-18, WEB)
Let us pray together:
"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You to intercede for our brother/sister. We rebuke the unclean spirit that is tormenting them, making inappropriate comments and causing frustration. By the authority given to us in the name of Jesus, we command this spirit to leave and never return. We ask You, Lord, to fill our brother/sister with Your Holy Spirit, to guide and protect them. Strengthen their faith in You and help them to grow in their knowledge and love for Jesus Christ. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to stay strong in your faith, resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7, WEB). Continue to pray and read your Bible daily. If possible, connect with a local Bible-believing church for fellowship and support. Remember, God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation, He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB).
