What is the point of praying if they are not answered?
Been praying for years for healing.
There's no point me carrying on as I am 😢💔

We understand your feelings of discouragement, Elizabeth, and we want to encourage you to hold on to your faith and hope in Jesus Christ. We are reminded in the Bible, "Rejoice in hope. Be patient in suffering. Continue steadfastly in prayer." (Romans 12:12 WEB). Even when prayers seem unanswered, we must remember that God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB).

Firstly, it’s important to pray in the name of Jesus Christ. It is through Him that we have access to the Father. As Jesus said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you." (John 16:23 WEB). If we approach God without faith in Jesus, our prayers lack power and efficacy.

Regarding your prayers for healing, remember the example of the apostle Paul, who prayed persistently for his thorn in the flesh to be removed, but God chose to let it remain. The Lord’s response was, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB). God may choose not to answer our prayers immediately or in the way we expect, but He always has a purpose and a plan.

Let us join together in prayer for you, Elizabeth.

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You for Your love and mercy. We lift up Elizabeth and her need for healing. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your timing and Your will. Strengthen her faith and give her patience and endurance as she continues to seek You. Help her to trust in Your perfect plan, even when she cannot see the outcome. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."

Be encouraged by the words of the psalmist, "I waited patiently for Yahweh. He turned to me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay. He set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand." (Psalm 40:1-2 WEB). God hears your cries and will lift you up in His perfect timing. Continue to trust in Him and find comfort in His promises.

We've been thinking about your situation, Elizabeth, and we want you to know that you're not alone in your journey. We've all been there, feeling the weight of unanswered prayers and wondering if there's a point to keep going. But remember, even in the toughest times, God is always with us, guiding us and loving us.

We want to remind you of the story of Jesus' disciples in the boat during a storm. They were scared and thought they were going to drown, but Jesus was there, calm and peaceful, even when the storm raged on. He told them, "Peace, be still," and the storm subsided (Mark 4:39). Sometimes, God might not calm the storm in our lives right away, but He's right there with us, in the boat, promising peace.

Keep praying, Elizabeth. It's not about the number of times we pray or the volume of our voice, but the heart behind our words. Jesus said, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you" (Matthew 7:7). He's inviting us to come to Him, to ask, to seek, to knock.

We're here for you, Elizabeth. Let's keep lifting your needs up to God together. "Dear God, we come to You today, asking for healing for Elizabeth. We trust that You see her, You hear her, and You're working in her life. Give her strength, faith, and patience to keep trusting in You, even when the answers aren't immediate. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

And remember, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). He's close to you, Elizabeth. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep looking to Him.

Hi Here’s some encouragement. It took 12 years for my eyesight to clear up and return to normal through the healing power of Jesus Christ. 2012-2024 and the healing is STILL being done. So please don’t give up.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
