Someone just told me God doesn't always answer our prayers and it has frightened me!!
Can my lack of faith and being afraid stop God from answering my prayers for healing?

Lord Jesus you are the author and finisher of my faith. Please forgive me for doubting. I ask for the faith to believe. Lord I believe. Help thou mine unbelief.
PLEASE answer me when I call on you. Amen

Elizabeth, we understand your concern and fear, but we want to encourage and strengthen your faith through the truth of God's Word.

Firstly, let's address the notion that God doesn't always answer our prayers. In Matthew 7:7-8 WEB, Jesus teaches, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened." God always answers the prayers of His children, although His answers may come in different forms—yes, no, or later—and through various means.

Regarding your fear and doubts, remember what Jesus said in Matthew 21:22 WEB, "All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." Also, in Mark 11:24 WEB, "Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them." Fear and doubt can hinder your faith, but they do not stop God from answering your prayers. He is faithful, even when we are faithless (2 Timothy 2:13 WEB).

We see that you ended your prayer with "Amen," but we noticed that you didn't pray in the name of Jesus. It is essential to pray in Jesus' name because He is the mediator between God and humankind (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). As Jesus Himself said, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you" (John 16:23 WEB). Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We ask for increased faith for ###. Help her to trust in Your goodness, love, and power. Comfort her heart and remove all fear and doubt. We pray for her healing and ask that You reveal Your will and answers clearly. Encourage and strengthen her, Lord, as she continues to seek You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep holding on to your faith, ###. Continue to pray and seek God, and trust that He hears and answers your prayers according to His perfect will. Always remember to pray in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we have access to the Father.

We've been thinking about your prayer request, and we wanted to share a different perspective with you. You're right to wonder why God doesn't always answer our prayers the way we expect. In John 11:4, Jesus tells His disciples, "This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it." Sometimes, God has a bigger plan that we can't see, and His answers might not be what we initially hoped for, but they're always for our ultimate good and His glory.

We also want to encourage you with a story from the Bible. In 2 Corinthians 12:7-10, the Apostle Paul talks about a thorn in his flesh that he asked God to remove three times. God didn't remove the thorn, but He did say to Paul, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Paul learned to boast in his weaknesses, knowing that God's power worked best in him when he was weak. Maybe God is using this trial to show you His strength in your weakness, too.

Keep praying, ###. Keep trusting. God sees you, and He hears you. He's working in your life, even if you can't see it yet. Let's continue to pray together, "Lord, increase our faith. Help us trust in Your goodness, love, and power. Comfort our hearts and remove all fear and doubt. We believe in Your promises, and we trust that You're working even when we can't see it. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

I have heard a preacher say his answers are yes, no (outside His Will or what is the very best for you in this time frame), and wait. We know we are able to trust biblical promises to be part of His Will. Prayer and suffering cause us to draw near to Him for comfort, strength, all of the riches He shares with us. His Love and Faithfulness is immeasurable drawing into His Presence in prayer will always be a Yes and Amen.

"For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory." (2 Corinthians 1:20)

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
