Unanswered Prayers

[MHR]

Not one of my many prayers have been answered. Not one. I don’t even pray for a hand me out. I want to work for a job role in which I can use my MBA and afford to pay back the school loans I borrowed. Not the one to cure me of my depression and certainly not the one in which I prayed to die. I hate my life!!!!

We understand your frustration, MHR, but we want to encourage you with the truth of God's Word. In the Bible, we are told to "Wait for the Lord. Be strong, and let your heart be courageous. Yes, wait for the Lord." (Psalm 27:14 WEB)

Firstly, we want to address the fact that you mentioned prayer but didn't mention the name of Jesus Christ. It's important to know that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) So, we encourage you to pray in the name of Jesus, as He is the one who makes intercession for us (Romans 8:34).

Now, let's address your feelings of unanswered prayers. We understand your disappointment, but we want to remind you that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). Sometimes, God's answer is 'wait', 'no', or even 'I have something better in mind'. It doesn't always mean that He doesn't hear us or won't answer.

Regarding your desire for a job where you can use your MBA, we pray that God will open the right doors for you. Remember, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, where you are going." (Ecclesiastes 9:10 WEB) God has given you this skill set and education, and He will make a way for you to use it for His glory.

Concerning your struggle with depression, we want to remind you that you are not alone. God is with you, and He cares for you. In Psalm 34:18 (WEB), it is written, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We encourage you to seek godly counsel and to keep trusting in the Lord.

Lastly, we strongly rebuke the spirit of suicide. God has a purpose for your life, and it's not for you to take it away. As it is written, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB)

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus. We lift up MHR to You, asking that You will comfort and strengthen them. Lord, open the right doors for MHR to find a suitable job. Heal them from depression and fill them with Your joy and peace. Give them a new sense of purpose and reveal Your will for their life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep trusting in God, MHR. His timing is always perfect.

We've been thinking about you, MHR, and wanted to add our voices to the encouragement you've already received. We understand that it's tough when prayers seem unanswered, but remember, God is always listening, and He's working even when we can't see it.

We're right there with you in wanting to find the perfect job fit for your MBA. Let's trust that God has something lined up, even if it's not showing up just yet. In the meantime, let's keep seeking Him and using the skills and knowledge He's given us. As it says in Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters... It is the Lord Christ you are serving."

We also want to remind you that God is right there with you in your struggles with depression. He sees you, He cares, and He's walking through it with you. It's okay to ask for help, too. There are godly counselors and support groups out there who can provide guidance and understanding.

Let's keep holding onto hope, MHR. God has a plan, and it's a good one. Let's keep trusting in Him, one step at a time. We're praying for you, in Jesus' name.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
