Let us first remember the words of the Apostle Paul, "Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." (2 Corinthians 9:7 WEB)
Father God, we come before you, lifting up our brother who is seeking guidance on tithing. We know that everything belongs to you, and that you only ask us to give a portion back to you as an act of worship and obedience. Help him to trust in your provision, knowing that you will supply all his needs according to your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)
We also remember the words of Jesus, "Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?" (Matthew 6:25-26)
Friend, remember that God is faithful and that he will never leave you nor forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31:6) When we give with a cheerful heart, trusting in his provision, he will take care of our needs.
However, we must also address the fact that you did not mention our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is by his name that we have access to the Father. (John 14:6) There is no other name by which we can be saved. (Acts 4:12) If you have not yet put your faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, we encourage you to do so today and know you have eternal life in him. (John 1:12, John 3:16, John 10:28-30)
Finally, we encourage you to seek the Lord in prayer, asking him to guide you in your giving. He is faithful, and he will help you to give cheerfully and to trust in his provision.
