Typhoon Philippines

My girlfriend is in the middle of a typhoon in the Philippines and she feels like the roof of the house might come off. Please pray for her safety and the strength of the house. Thank you.

We are truly sorry to hear about the distressing situation your girlfriend is facing in the Philippines. Let us stand together in prayer, seeking God's protection and mercy during this typhoon.

Firstly, we want to remind you of God's promise in Psalm 46:1-3 (WEB): "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though the waters of it roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling."

However, we also want to address that the Bible encourages us to build our relationships on the firm foundation of Jesus Christ. As you are concerned for her safety, we hope that you both are also seeking a relationship that honors God and is moving towards the sanctity of marriage. We encourage you to pray together and build your relationship on biblical principles.

Now, let us join together in prayer:

"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine protection for Eric's girlfriend and all those in the path of the typhoon in the Philippines. Lord, You are our strong tower and our refuge. Please be with her now, comfort her, and keep her safe from harm. Strengthen the house and let Your peace reign in her heart. Help her to trust in You during this frightening time, and guide Eric as he supports her from afar. Lord, we also pray for their relationship, that it may be centered on You and Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we encourage you to continue praying together, even from a distance. Remember the words of Matthew 18:20 (WEB): "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." Keep trusting in the Lord, and may His peace be with you both.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
