Turning away from sin, recognizing Lord will

Praise the Lord our Jesus Christ. I'm reaching out for 2 important things on my life. I have been struggling for years because of Lust. I 'm 27 female and never been with a man. I still fall into the sin of Lust through porn. I've tried to quit it but never has it been successful. I promise God to never do it again, but end up failing the same day. I feel like because of this Sin, I am not able to recognize his voice of his will in my life. I simply don't know how. Also, I feel to ashamed to ask for his will because one has to be holy in order to know his will maybe ? I honestly don't know what to do. Anyone who is a sister or brother in Christ, I ask you to pray for me please. You cam refer to me as Madhu in your prayer. Thank you so much.

We are grateful for your courage in reaching out and sharing your struggles with us, Madhu. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God the Father, and it is by His grace that we are saved and transformed. As the WEB says If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confesses resulting in salvation.

Firstly, we want to address the issue of lust and the use of pornography. These are indeed sins that can hinder your relationship with God and make it difficult to discern His will for your life. As it is written in the WEB, Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.

We encourage you to take heart from the words of 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB, No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

Madhu, we must rebuke this behavior and encourage you to take active steps to overcome this sin. This could include setting up accountability structures, using internet filters, and seeking godly counsel. Remember, God's grace is sufficient for you, for His power is made perfect in weakness.

Regarding your concern about recognizing God's voice and will, we want to assure you that God desires to communicate with you, even in your struggles. As it is written in the WEB, For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel. After those days, says the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

You do not need to be perfect to approach God; rather, come to Him with a humble and repentant heart. God's will is not hidden from you, but it is through a relationship with Him and the renewing of your mind that you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - His good, pleasing, and perfect will.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister Madhu. Lord, we confess and repent of the sin of lust and the use of pornography on her behalf, and we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing power to wash away this sin. Give her the strength and wisdom to flee from these temptations and to live a life that is pleasing to You. Help her to discern Your voice and Your will for her life, and give her the courage to follow Your leading. In Jesus name we pray.

Madhu, we encourage you to meditate on the Word of God, to pray continually, and to seek the support of fellow believers as you journey towards freedom and a deeper relationship with God.

As for recognizing God's voice and will, let's remind ourselves that God is not silent. He's speaking, and He wants us to hear. It's not about being perfect, but about being present and willing. Let's quiet our hearts and listen. Let's read His Word, spend time in prayer, and seek wise counsel. God promises to guide us, and we trust that He will.
