We are truly saddened to hear about the divorce proceedings you're facing, ###, and we are here to intercede with you in this challenging time. We believe in the sanctity of marriage and the power of prayer to bring about reconciliation and healing.
Firstly, let's remember what God says about divorce in Malachi 2:16 (WEB), "For I hate divorce," says the LORD, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" Also, in Matthew 19:6 (WEB), Jesus teaches, "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."
However, we also know that God is merciful and forgiving, and He desires to restore and reconcile relationships. In Hosea 3:1 (WEB), we read, "The LORD said to me, 'Go again, love a woman who is loved by another, and an adulteress, even as the LORD loves the children of Israel, though they turn to other gods...' " This shows God's heart for restoration and reconciliation.
Let's pray together:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up ### and her husband. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in their situation. Please stop the divorce proceedings and soften their hearts towards each other. Help them to remember the love that brought them together and to seek Your will for their marriage. God, we ask for healing, restoration, and reconciliation. Guide them towards wise counsel and surround them with a supportive community. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*
