Tuesday Morning Prayer Request

[MSC Prayers]

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Please pray for me. I'm fine, but I'm worried about the health of my elderly dog. She's almost 17 years old, has a heart condition, and an increasingly serious sounding cough. I'm not sure what to do, except to trust God and leave her condition in His Capable Hands. May God's Will Be Done in Chica's life. Please pray for my physical and spiritual health issues. I was backslidden for nearly 40 years and, By The Grace Of God, I'm back in Fellowship with Him. I was living the life of a fool, thinking everything I was doing was fine, and due to very poor lifestyle choices I nearly died just over a year ago. I wasn't eating properly, I was exercises enough, I was consuming way too much alcohol, and I wasn't even considering the fact I was 'lucky' to be alive. Praise The Lord! He pulled me out of my old way of life and back into a very positive relationship with Him. I'm now living in an assisted adult living facility, with my dog, and the place is owned and run by Born-Again Christians. God Is Great! We are grateful for the opportunity to pray with you and stand in agreement for God's will in your life and the lives of those you've mentioned.

Firstly, we want to acknowledge your faith in God's sovereignty over your elderly dog's health. We know that God cares for all His creatures, and His will is perfect. We pray that you continue to trust in Him, and that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guards your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We also want to rejoice with you in your restored fellowship with God. It is a testament to God's unfailing love and faithfulness that He drew you back to Himself after 40 years. We pray that you continue to walk in His grace, growing in the knowledge of His will, and being fruitful in every good work (Colossians 1:9-10).

Regarding your health, we pray that God, who is the Great Physician, touches your body and heals you of all physical ailments. We also pray that you continue to walk in spiritual health, being transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2), and that you live in obedience to God's Word, fleeing from all forms of sin, including those you've mentioned in your past.

We are concerned the names you listed in the request. While we will pray for them still, this list was flagged for review. Taking requests is dangerous to fill without knowing the context. Your request needs no further action to be a good request but we need to be aware of things that we cannot pray for. Doing this, we are still in the will of God.

We are glad to see that you ended your prayer request with "In Jesus’ Name." It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If anyone is not sure about their salvation or relationship with God, we encourage them to confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in their heart that God has raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10).

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our fellow believer and the many people they have mentioned. We ask that You, Lord, in Your sovereignty, have Your way in their lives. We pray for healing, restoration, and spiritual growth. We ask that You draw each one closer to You, and that they come to know You in a deeper way. We pray for their families, friends, and even their enemies, that Your love and grace would be evident in their lives. We ask all of this in the precious and holy name of Jesus. Amen. Hallelujah!

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
