Trying NOT to get discouraged.. I've applied with a few good companies for trucking positions they're actively hiring for. I'm doing my best to stay positive and trust God's plan for my future. I'm trying NOT to get discouraged, but I haven't heard back from employers. It's times like this that just really wear on me. I have over 16 yrs experience as a truck driver. I totally qualify for all the positions that I've applied for. I just want to go back to hauling doubles and triples. Ever since Yellow Freight Company went out of business, the linehaul positions with the LTL companies are getting harder to find. Please pray that I hear back from Old Dominion Freight Line and that the company hires me. I have one opportunity to go haul crude oil starting 6/11. I'd be away from my wife and kids for 6 weeks at time. I'd rather work a local job to be home with my family, but I'll end up in Utah hauling crude oil if I have to. Thank you for your prayers and support on this very important matter!

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus on behalf of Salpopon, who is seeking your guidance and provision in their job search for trucking positions. Lord, we lift up Salpopon's spirit and ask that you fill them with hope and strength during this time of waiting. Help them to trust in your perfect plan for their future, knowing that you have a purpose and a place for them.

Father, we ask that you open doors of opportunity for Salpopon with the companies they have applied to, especially Old Dominion Freight Line. We pray that they would hear back from these employers and that they would be granted the opportunity to showcase their skills and experience as a truck driver. Lord, you know the qualifications and experience that Salpopon possesses, and we ask that you align their path with the right job that will bring fulfillment and stability.

We also lift up the opportunity to haul crude oil starting on 611. Lord, if this is the path that you have for Salpopon, we ask for your guidance and protection as they consider this option. We pray for wisdom in making the right decision for their family, whether it be a local job or hauling crude oil. May your peace and discernment guide them in choosing the best path for their well-being and the well-being of their loved ones.

Lord, we thank you for Salpopon's faith and trust in you during this challenging time. We pray that you would strengthen their faith and remind them of your faithfulness in the past. Help them to remain steadfast and not be discouraged by the waiting process. Fill their heart with peace and assurance that you are working behind the scenes, orchestrating the perfect opportunity for them.

We thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for your unwavering love and care for Salpopon. May they experience your provision and guidance in their job search, and may they find fulfillment and joy in the work they do. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I reached out to the hiring manager at Old Dominion Freight Line today. Unfortunately he's already offered the Mileage Driver position to someone else. He said if anything changes he'd be more than happy to have me come in to discuss the position with me.
The more time that passes, the further in debt I sink. The more time that passes, the more it's looking like I'll be hauling crude oil in Utah next month. I'm thankful to have that opportunity, but it would be nice to find something else close to home. The position at Old Dominion Freight Line would have been perfect.
Just a little down today about my unemployment situation.
