Satan is tempting Jesus in the wilderness and says this:
Mat 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
Mat 4:9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
And Jesus' response:
Mat 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Mat 4:11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
Mat 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. (Luke 16:33 repeats this word)
Mat 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Rom 14:17 For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Rom 14:18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.
Rom 14:19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
Mat 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
Mat 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Mat 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Pro 4:23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Guard your heart above all things, for out of it are the issues of life).
We are to worship God and only Him we are to serve.
Our worship to God cannot be divided, we must have a single 'eye'.
2Co 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
2Co 6:15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
2Co 6:16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
2Co 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
2Co 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
What takes our worship off of God?
Fear of the unknown
worries
anxieties
cares of this world
Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Mat 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
Mat 11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Jesus tells us when we cast our burdens on Him, TRUST Him totally, no matter what is going on around us, He will give us ‘rest’. We take His yoke, wow, his yoke is sitting at His feet and learning of Him...just like Mary did.
Luk 10:38 As they were traveling along, Jesus went into a village. A woman named Martha welcomed him into her home.
Luk 10:39 She had a sister named Mary. Mary sat at the Lord's feet and listened to him talk.
Luk 10:40 But Martha was upset about all the work she had to do. So she asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work all by myself? Tell her to help me."
Luk 10:41 The Lord answered her, "Martha, Martha! You worry and fuss about a lot of things.
Luk 10:42 There's only one thing you need. Mary has made the right choice, and that one thing will not be taken away from her."
Php 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Php 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Php 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Joh_14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Psa 56:3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

2Ch_32:7 Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him:

Psa 112:7 He will not be afraid of evil tiding, his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord.
John15:7 If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you shall ask what you will and it shall be done unto you.
1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us
1 John 15:15 And if we know He hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.
