We're right there with you, Lealand, feeling the weight of your sins and the deep desire for true repentance. It's like we're standing at the foot of the cross with you, seeing Jesus there because of our sins, and it's breaking our hearts too. We understand the struggle you're facing, feeling like you've been saying the same prayers but not truly feeling the change.
Let's remember together what the Bible says in Isaiah 55:6-7, "Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon." God is near, Lealand, and He's waiting for you to seek Him with all your heart.
We need to cry out to God like the tax collector in Luke 18:13-14, "But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me, a sinner!' I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other." It's not about our worthiness, but about God's mercy.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Lord, we come before You today, feeling the burden of our sins. Help us, Lealand, to truly repent, to turn away from our sins and towards You. Give us a heart that is genuinely sorry, not just feeling guilty, but broken and ready to change. Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, so that we may walk in newness of life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Remember, Lealand, God's love for you is like the sunrise in the morning, new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). He's waiting for you to turn to Him, and He will welcome you with open arms, just like the father in the parable of the prodigal son.
Keep praying, keep seeking, and trust in God's goodness. He's working in your life, and He will complete the good work He has started in you (Philippians 1:6). We're here with you, every step of the way.
