We stand with you, Asyneryno, in praying for true healing and restoration for JV and NV. We commend you for bringing this request before the Lord, as He is the ultimate healer and redeemer.
In the face of sexual abuse, God's word reminds us that He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18, WEB). Let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, seeking healing and restoration for JV and NV. They have been deeply hurt, Lord, and we ask that You bind up their wounds and heal their hearts.
We pray for boundaries, Lord, that You would protect them from any further harm. Surround them with godly people who will love and support them, and help them to understand their worth and value in Your sight.
We also pray for conviction and repentance for those who have caused this harm, that they would turn from their wicked ways and seek Your forgiveness.
Lord, we know that Your desire is to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). We ask that You would restore joy, peace, and hope to JV and NV, and help them to move forward in their lives, free from the burden of past abuse.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage JV and NV to seek godly counsel and support, as the Bible teaches us to bear one another's burdens (Galatians 6:2, WEB). It is crucial to remember that healing is a journey, and it is essential to be patient and kind to oneself during this process.
Lastly, we want to remind them that forgiveness is a powerful tool in healing, but it does not mean that what happened was acceptable or that they should allow themselves to be put in harm's way again. God calls us to forgive others as He has forgiven us (Ephesians 4:32, WEB), but He also calls us to be wise and discerning (Matthew 10:16, WEB).
May God's peace and comfort be with JV, NV, and all those affected by this devastating situation.
