TROUBLED BY MY HUSBAND LEAVING AND LYING AND THEN WANTS DIVORCE

Heavenly Father, I am so confused. My husband left last Dec. to stay with his sister and daughter after his heart attack and stents put in. I so looked forward to a happier active life together with his new blood flow. We spoke and texted for almost 2 months when he suddenly stopped all communication with me. His last words in a text were. "I love you with everything I have." "Please don't think I'm leaving you, I'm not". "Please don't take your love for me now, please don't". And so he ghosted me right up until last week when he called a 1 min. call and said he wanted a divorce claiming the lie that I used him for a punching bag. There was never any word of breaking up in our 12 years together. Please Lord heal my hurt. Heal my heart. Help me to move on. The details point to it's all about his daughter inheriting what he has and our jointly owned property. Please intervene Lord. I want my husband back. Free from manipulation and coercion. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen!

We are truly saddened to hear about the trial you are facing in your marriage, Epistreira. Let's bring your situation before the Lord in prayer and seek His will according to His word.

Firstly, let's remember what the WEB says about marriage in Mark 10:9, "What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." The Lord takes marriage seriously, and so should we. Divorce is not an option!

However, we need to address the sin of lying and deception that has entered into this situation as a priority. As the WEB says in Proverbs 6:16-19, "There are six things which Yahweh hates; yes, seven which are an abomination to him: arrogant eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood; a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and he who sows discord among brothers." This is very serous are must be addressed before reconciliation can begin.

Let's pray together.

Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister Epistreira. Lord, You know the pain and confusion she is experiencing due to her husband's actions. We pray that You intervene in this situation and bring conviction to her husband's heart for his lying and deceiving. We pray that You soften his heart and turn it back towards his wife for restoration of this marriage that you ordained. Father, we ask that You expose any manipulation and coercion that might be at play, especially concerning inheritance. State the obvious and bring all and any deception and immorality to an end in Jesus name. We ask you Lord to protect your daughter. Holy Spirit, please comfort Epistreira. Heal her heart and help her stand strong in her faith for she is a child of God and can be strong in your strength. The battle is raging, but we know our God is mighty to save.

In the meantime, Epistreira, we encourage you to be patient in affliction as a testimony to your husband and always be a servant of Christ). As the WEB says in Romans 12:12, "rejoicing in hope; enduring in troubles; continuing steadfastly in prayer". Stand firm in your faith knowing that God is working even in this difficult situation. Remember the promise in Romans 8:28, from the WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose".

Be encouraged to know you have love and support in the body of Jesus Christ. We accept this burden with you.

We're here for you, sister. We can't imagine the hurt and confusion you're feeling, but we want you to know that you're not alone. We've been praying for you and your husband since we heard your plea.

We've been reflecting on Ephesians 4:15, "Instead, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way more and more like Christ." It's clear that deception has caused a lot of pain in your marriage, but we believe that the truth can set you both free. We're asking the Lord to reveal any hidden truths and to bring them to light, so that you both can start healing and rebuilding your marriage.

We've also been meditating on 1 Corinthians 7:16, "For how do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife?" The Lord has given you a unique role in your husband's life, and we believe that your love and prayers can make a difference.

We're asking the Lord to soften your husband's heart, to help him see the truth and the pain he's causing, and to turn back to you and to God. We're also asking for protection over you, dear sister, and for the Holy Spirit to comfort and strengthen you in this trial.

Please keep trusting in the Lord, and remember that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). We're here to support you, and we'll continue to pray for you and your husband.

Heavenly Father,


We come before You, the God of all comfort and healing, on behalf of this heartbroken soul. Lord, she is carrying the weight of confusion, abandonment, and grief in her heart. We ask for Your divine intervention, guidance, and restoration in her life.


Lord, Your Word says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18). We know You are near to her now, wrapping her in Your love and providing the strength she needs to endure this storm.


Father, her heart cries out for clarity and healing in her relationship with her husband. You are the God who makes a way where there seems to be no way. We lift her husband up to You, asking for Your divine truth to shine in his heart. If he is being influenced by manipulation or coercion, we pray for the chains of deceit to be broken in the name of Jesus. May Your will be done in their marriage, Lord, according to Your perfect plan.


Your Word reminds us, “What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate” (Mark 10:9). Father, if it is within Your will, bring restoration to this marriage. Heal the wounds, mend the broken trust, and renew their love for one another. But if separation is to happen, Lord, give her the grace and strength to move forward, knowing that You have plans to prosper her and not to harm her (Jeremiah 29:11).


Lord, she feels betrayed and confused, but Your Word tells us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6). Help her to lean into You completely, trusting in Your guidance even when the road ahead is unclear.


We also pray for her healing, Father. Bind up her broken heart, as You promised in Isaiah 61:1. Fill her with peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and remind her that Your love for her is unfailing, steadfast, and eternal.


Lord, we also lift up her husband’s daughter and sister. If there is any division or greed at play, we ask for Your truth and justice to prevail. Replace manipulation with love, and bring unity where there is discord.


Father, help her to forgive, even in the midst of pain, as You have commanded us to forgive others as we have been forgiven (Ephesians 4:32). Free her from the burden of bitterness so she may walk in Your peace.


We trust in Your promise that “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still” (Exodus 14:14). Strengthen her faith, and remind her that You are in control of all things. Whatever the outcome, Lord, let her find joy and fulfillment in You, knowing that You are her ultimate source of hope.

What makes it so hard is that I'm alone alone. Not even someone to list as an emergency contact. My husband abandoned me after claiming he was coming back and he never said a word until now, almost a year later.
