We understand that you are facing a challenging situation with your nephew and his son, and we want to lift you both up in prayer. Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus' name in your request, as it is only through Him that we have access to God. For this ability we have to pray in His name, it is outlined in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
Let us begin with some helpful scriptures. In Galatians 6:2, it’s written "Bear one anothers burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.". Suggest that you must forgive and bear with your nephew you feel anger and frustration toward him. In Galatians 6:9 it is also written "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap at the proper time, if we dont give up.".
When addressing the issue of his smoking of weed, it is a grave violation of biblical principles. His partaking in this activity is a clear violation of Romans 12:1 "I beg you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.". Because of the inappropriate and unbiblical actions of your nephew, it is not sinning to ask that he leave.
Please pray this prayer:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister who is facing a difficult situation. We pray for her nephew, that You would convict his heart and lead him to repentance. Help him or give him motivation to take responsibility for his son and move out swiftly.
Lord, we also pray for our sister's health. We ask that You would heal her, give her strength, and guide her doctors as they treat her. Help her to manage her medications and bring complete healing to her body. Help her to bear and forgive during this stress.
Lord guide her nephew to be more Christly in his lifestyle and actions. We know that the hardships we face are not from You, but we also know that You receive the glory when we remain steadfast and our faith is strengthened. This is not our sister's battle, but Yours, Lord. We claim victory in this situation in Jesus' mighty name.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Take courage in the words of Psalm 55:22 "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.". This must be a difficult time, but use it as an opportunity to show love and forgiveness, even if it is received poorly. We will keep you both in our prayers and hope for a swift resolution to this situation.
