We are truly sorry to hear that you are feeling triggered and afraid. Fear not, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB)
Firstly, let us address the absence of the name of Jesus in your prayer. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) We encourage you to come boldly before the throne of grace, invoking the precious name of Jesus.
In times of distress and fear, remember that God is the stronghold of our lives. "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won't be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas." (Psalm 46:1-2 WEB)
The enemy may try to keep you captive to past traumas and fears, but remember that Jesus came to set us free. As it is written, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." (John 8:36 WEB)
When you are feeling overwhelmed by fear, remember that perfect love casts out fear. As it is written, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love." (1 John 4:18 WEB)
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear soul who is feeling triggered and afraid. We rebuke the spirit of fear and ask that You fill them with Your perfect love. Help them to find joy and strength in You, and to be present with their daughter. Guide them through this challenging time, and give them the strength to overcome. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be present with your daughter, cherish these moments, and remember that God is always with you. "For I hold you by your right hand, I, God, your God, who say to you, 'Do not be afraid. I who help you.'" (Isaiah 41:13 WEB)
