Firstly, we want to acknowledge your love and care for your son. It is evident in your actions, as you have taken the initiative to seek treatment and participate in a clinical trial. This shows your faith and hope in God's provision through medicine and healthcare professionals.
We remember the story of Jarius, who sought Jesus' help for his daughter, and Jesus said look at Luke 8:45:
Then Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, Master, the multitudes press and jostle you, and you say, ‘Who touched me?’ 46 But Jesus said, Someone did touch me, for I perceived that power has gone out of me. 47 When the woman saw that she was not hidden, she came trembling, and falling down before him declared to him in the presence of all the people the reason why she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. 48 He said to her, Daughter, cheer up. Your faith has made you well. Go in peace. 49 While he was still speaking, one from the ruler of the synagogue’s house came to him, saying to him, Your daughter is dead. Don’t trouble the Teacher. 50 But Jesus hearing it, answered him, Don’t be afraid. Only believe, and she will be healed. 51 When he came to the house, he didn’t allow anyone to enter in, except Peter, John, James, the father of the child, and her mother. 52 All were weeping and mourning her, but he said, Don’t weep. We are Jesus commanded only to believe and she would be healed.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Giltlisle's son to you. We thank you for the gift of medicine and the healthcare professionals caring for him. We pray that this clinical trial will be successful in providing the treatment he needs to improve his health. We ask for your healing hand to be upon him, and for your peace and strength to comfort Giltlisle and her family during this time. Lord if it be your will, please address the underlying problem, heal, and cure Giltlisle's son. Jesus, remind us that we are not calling on a god who does not know us, but we have a relationship with you and it is by your name we come to God the Father for salvation and healing. Lord, we remind you of our relationship to you and thank you for the healing you already performed by driving out demons, healing the hole in a roof so four paralytics could get close to you, and numerous blind people. Lord, it is by your name he is saved and it is by your name we ask this for his health. We ask this in Jesus' name. And it is in Jesus Name alone that we pray. Amen.
It is our faith in Jesus Christ that is important. It is easy to go searching for some miraculous sign, but it is important to study and learn the word of God.
Look at Matthew 12:38-39:
Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying, Teacher, we want to see a sign from you. 39 But he answered them, An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, but no sign will be given to it but the sign of Jonah the prophet.
We cling to the sign of Jonah as Jesus told us so many other places in the New Testament about the sign of Jonah as well. Jonah spent three nights and three days in the belly of a great fish before being saved and going on to preach to and warn Nineveh to repent and follow God. The Son of Man also was going to be three days in the heart of the earth. Obviously, Jesus is talking about and predicting his own crucifixion and resurrection before it happened:
Look at what Jesus said in Matthew 12:40:
Matthew 12:40 for as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the whale, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
Jesus provided may signs, but kept reiterating that His ultimate sign would be His death and resurrection. Giltlisle God has already given us the worlds greatest sign, His son and it is in Jesus Name that we ask for healing and health for your son. Look at the additional miracles and signs discussed such as the forgiveness of sin through Jesus:
Look at Luke 5:20-26:
20 Seeing their faith, he said to him, Man, your sins are forgiven you. 21 The scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this that speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone? 22 But Jesus, perceiving their thoughts, answered them, Why do you reason so in your hearts? 23 Which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you;’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk?’ 24 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins (he said to the paralyzed man), I tell you, arise, take up your cot, and go to your house. 25 Immediately he rose up before them, and took up that which he was laying on, and departed to his house, glorifying God. 26 Amazement took hold on all, and they glorified God. They were filled with fear, saying, We have seen strange things today.
Giltlisle, it is important to pray in Jesus' Name:
Acts 4:12 says: Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
