WHEN LEADERSHIP FAILS
Y'all ain't gonna like this one.
"For I have set you as an ensign unto the house of Israel"
When church leadership rebuked and accused me, according to 1 John 2: 18-19, then sought to exhonerate themselves in my separation from their places of worsip, pronouncing instead from their high places, that God had cast me out, I must admit, knowing the details surrounding the situation, I felt some kinda way. Certainly, during this assignment, God has revealed to me, the error of my own ways, for which I have long since, set my case before Him in repentance; howbeit, just as God predicted, the church's disregard did in fact, rout discouragement. But God, again, would not leave me in a space of confusion in that which He called me to. God, through the infinite wisdom of His Holy Spirit, led me into His truth regarding having been cast out:
To Priests and Leaders:
2 Chronicles 7: 19-22 “But if you turn away and forsake My statutes and My commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods, and worship them, 20) then I will uproot them from My land which I have given them; and this house which I have sanctified for My name I will cast out of My sight, and will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples. 21) “And as for this house, which is exalted, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and say, ‘Why has the Lord done thus to this land and this house?’ 22) Then they will answer, ‘Because they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and embraced other gods, and worshiped them and served them; therefore He has brought all this calamity on them.’”
When our leaders, whether church or government, fail to honor God's statutes, punishment is sometimes levied on the people over whom they have been given charge. Shepherds have been known to lead their flock to slaughter. Once again, Pharoah comes to mind. Certainly, Pharoah's subjects and army were only operating as commanded, but because Pharoah was operating in disobedience to God's will, not only were the people plagued, but his entire army was drowned. I make mention of this, not to be negative, as many suppose; I am simply doing the works assigned to me to the fulfillment of the scriptures.
“You have heard; seen all this. Still you refuse to acknowledge it?"
When you interfere in God's business, you obstruct His plans. And isn't it ironic that the obstruction and outcasting, for which there has stubbornly been neither acknowledgement nor apology, that I experienced as an ensign to the church, this nation is currently undergoing?
LOVE is definitely in need; and because true love is first displayed through honor and respect for God, we must never defend that which blasphemes and betrays His Sovereignty, particularly from those in the high places of the church and the nation.
As the church goes . . .
Commentary: Because I received some criticism over my last post for quoting words from one the most prolific song writers of this generation, simply because it wasn't a "Religious" song, I decided to "overturn those tables of hypocrisy" with another of Stevie's songs, which should enlightens us as to why ritual and religiosity should not be the main point of focus, especially during this season in our nation. Now, certainly there was a lot going on in the movie "Jungle Fever," and I am certainly not condoning adultery, but how ironic that this song was from a scene in the movie where a young woman was beaten, and cast out of her home simply for LOVING someone of a different race:
Matthew 23: 24 Blind guides, who strain out a gnat and swallow a camel!
Like Jesus, after turning over a few tables in the temple, and despite the torment, I LOVE YOU (church and nation) enough to complete my assignment.
