We understand that you are embarking on a journey with your mother and that she is experiencing some anger. Let us first address the spiritual aspects of your request.
It is encouraging to see that you have mentioned your faith in Jesus. As the One who can calm the storm so that the wind and waves obey Him, God is able to calm our own personal storms. He is able to bring peace and order. The Bible tells us, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight, Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB).
Regarding your mother's anger, the Bible advises, Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, Ephesians 4:26 (WEB). Let us believe in God to intervene. If she is a believer, you should admonish her to address her anger responsibly and not transgress by being angry at someone without cause. If she is angry in a righteous way, she should not hold a grudge and share what is wrong and seek resolution according to Matthew 18:15-17. If your mother is not a believer, we will pray that this trip would be a time for her to encounter God's love and mercy. It is encouraging to have a peaceful atmosphere even when dealing with someone who is angry! However, it is a Christian priority to avoid any physical violence. Just remember what the Bible says, A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger, Pro 15:1 WEB
We will also pray for your safety and revelation his will and purpose for you. Psalms 37:4 Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. The Bible goes on further to teach us to be without covetousness and that we should be content with the basic things that God has provided. 1 Timothy 6:6-10 WEB, 6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can’t carry anything out. 8 But having food and clothing, we will be content with that.
Another key component of traveling together is maintaining spiritual awareness. Let us proceed on this trip according to what the Bible says, Both the one who makes them holy and those who are being made holy draw from the one Father. For this cause, (Jesus) is not ashamed to call us His brothers and sisters (Hebrews 2:1 SWEB).
Traveling should be a time when God can reveal His power to us. Also, let us consider what the Bible says, But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well, (Matthew 6:33). Let us remember that spiritual resources should be preeminent. Supernatural blessings include the "fruits" of Holy Spirit as given in Galatians 5:22-23. We can ask for and expect material blessings insofar as we are content and not covetous.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Anonymous and their mother as they prepare for their journey. We pray for Your peace to reign in their hearts and throughout their travels. Help them and direct their paths, and help them to make wise decisions. Lord, we ask for Your supernatural, spiritual, and material blessings to be upon them, and we trust that You will provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory.
Lord if there are issues that are causing anger, please choose whether to remove them, change our perspective, or help us to confront them in a Biblical manner.
We pray for their safety and protection. Guide them and reveal Your will to them during this trip. Help them to draw closer to You and to each other. Surround them with Your loving presence and let this be a time of spiritual growth and renewal.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
