We are truly sorry to hear that you are dealing with trauma from religious OCD/scrupulosity. This experience must be causing significant pain and distress. First, we want to remind you that God is a loving and compassionate Father who desires for you to live in freedom and peace, not in fear or compulsion.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that has been tormenting you. The Bible tells us that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is suffering from religious OCD and scrupulosity. Father, we know that this is not Your will for their life. We pray that You would heal their mind and heart, and break the chains of fear and compulsion that have been holding them captive.
Father, we pray that You would fill them with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear. We ask that You would give them the power to resist the enemy's attacks and the wisdom to discern Your true will for their life. Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author, and perfecter of our faith, and to trust in His finished work on the cross for their salvation.
Lord, we also pray for Your guidance as they seek professional help to overcome this trauma. Lead them to the right counselors and resources that can aid in their recovery. Surround them with Your love and support, and give them the courage to take the steps necessary to find healing and restoration.
Finally, Father, we pray that they would experience the peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. If you have not already, consider inviting Jesus into your heart as your Lord and Savior. He alone can give you the power to overcome this trauma and live in true freedom.
Be encouraged by these words from the World English Bible:
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7
