One thing I've come to see from experience is that nowadays,as opposed to the past{probably because in the last days the unsaveds true nature will come out} is that the old Biblical instruction to "train up a child in the way he should go, and when he gets old, he will not depart from it."Also,"spare the rod, spoil the child.,is no longer practiced."What I see from personal experience is the opposite attitude, the kid does something wrong to someone, and if the offended adult remarks to the parent, the reply is,he's "just a kid".Yeah. But the problem is, if the parents don't teach them right from wrong, the kid will grow up thinking everything is okay, and disrespect others because the parents never taught them right from wrong. It's also a form of selfishness, because from dealing with these people I know their attitude. They feel if you're a stranger to them, they don't have to deal with you anymore,so why do they care if you don't like their actions?I've seen kids crawl over booths in a restaurant, onto other customers while eating, and if the other person comments to the parents, their reaction is something like, "If you don't like it, move." {And they might have been sitting there first.}I was shopping the other day, and a kid was standing in the middle of the aisle in front of me,and I said excuse me like 5 times so I could proceed with my shopping, but no dice. So when I grumbled something under my breath, the father said, "He's a little kid." But I told him,"Yeah, that's why you should teach him right from wrong."Instead, he makes excuses for the kid, and walks away when I talk sense. Now, doesn't the Bible state "train up a child in the way he should go",meaning, you're supposed to teach them right from wrong when young,so it follows into old age?And by not following those Biblical instructions, isn't that taking a wrong turn? I would think so.
