TRAIN MY HANDS FOR WAR
Praise be to the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me. Psalm 144:1-2
Do you often feel that your spouse is the enemy in your life? Don’t believe that lie which is from the enemy, Satan. Have you learned how to fight the enemy with the Lord on your side? I want to share that our Lord can rout your enemies! When you have marriage problems, or you are going through separation or divorce, your once one-flesh spouse and your best friend appears to have just become your enemy. Is there another person in your husband’s or wife’s life who is trying to take your place? What should you do? Never give up and pray. Always remember that your spouse is not your enemy. Your home has had a terrorist attack by the enemy, Satan.
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:10-12
Cry out to your Lord asking Him to rout your enemy. Your Lord will train you for war. Listen for His instructions for your life. You are in a spiritual battle, which can only be won by the power of your Lord Jesus Christ with prayer and fasting.
Do you believe in marriage restoration? Never forget your wedding vows and take a stand with the Lord Jesus Christ, joining His army with Him as the Commander-in-Chief, to fight the war against divorce in your marriage, in your church, city, state and around the world. God hates divorce.
You ask, “Why?†It is because the LORD is acting as the witness between you and the wife of your youth, because you have broken faith with her, though she is your partner, the wife of your marriage covenant. Has not [the LORD] made them one? In flesh and spirit they are his. And why one? Because he was seeking godly offspring. So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith with the wife of your youth. “I hate divorce,†says the LORD God of Israel, “and I hate a man's covering himself with violence as well as with his garment,†says the LORD Almighty. So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith. Malachi 2:14-16
Let me share the meaning of the word rout. In the American College Dictionary, the meaning reads: A defeat attended with disorderly flight; dispersal of a defeated force in complete disorder; to defeat. I also looked the word up in my NIV Exhaustive Concordance which says: Throw into confusion, drives over and eliminated.
Praise the Lord! That is what you and I want the Lord to do. We want our enemies routed quickly!
The Lord Jesus Christ paid the price shedding His Blood at Calvary defeating the enemy, Satan. You and I need to walk in victory, knowing who we are in Christ. Do you walk around defeated every day because of your circumstances? If your answer is yes, then you are allowing the enemy to steal more from you than just your spouse. Satan wants to steal your faith, your hope, your trust, your peace and your joy. What has the enemy stolen from you so far?
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.†John 10:10
When you join the Lord’s army, you have been given authority! Jesus Christ defeated the enemy, and you need to walk in victory. Allow your Lord to become your mighty Warrior for all your battles and problems in your life.
Your Lord wants you to believe in His mighty power. He will defeat your enemies. He is all you need. You need to remember who created the heavens and the earth. He wants to be your Deliverer from the evil one and deliver you and your spouse from all the evil that is lurking around your family right now. That is why Jesus Christ came to the earth, to rescue sinners, heal the sick and find the lost.
Being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:11-14
Your Lord can rout your enemies. He can disperse or eliminate your enemies! What a praise! If you ever doubt the power of God, read the many books in the Old Testament. Do you believe He can do this for you? That is a requirement. You need to have faith, believing in His mighty power as He showed to so many men and women of God throughout the Bible. Will you believe and walk in faith for your marriage to be restored and rebuilt by the Lord? You have a choice to make every day and every hour. Will you believe in God’s mighty power to defeat the enemy?
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see...And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him...And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and the prophets, who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies. Hebrews 11:1, 6, 32-34
Do you remember the story of Deborah in Judges Chapter 4? Your Lord God wants to give you victory in the healing and the restoration of your marriage. He wants us to believe in His mighty power and for Him to get the praise. He allows us to go through different trials of many kinds to test your faith and develop perseverance. Then you will have a testimony to share with others about the power of the Lord God that we serve. He will rout your enemies if you join His army and follow His instructions, knowing that He will be your shield, your fortress and your Deliverer.
Then Deborah said to Barak, “Go! This is the day the LORD has given Sisera into your hands. Has not the LORD gone ahead of you?†So Barak went down Mount Tabor, followed by ten thousand men. At Barak's advance, the LORD routed Sisera and all his chariots and army by the sword, and Sisera abandoned his chariot and fled on foot. But Barak pursued the chariots and army as far as Harosheth Haggoyim. All the troops of Sisera fell by the sword; not a man was left. Judges 4:14-16
Now ask your Lord to rout your enemies and believe that He is able!
