Toxic Relationship

My daughter is in a toxic relationship. They live in poverty. The fighting is daily. He’s been physical to my daughter, emotional abuse ,he takes her work $. The children have to listen to the daily fighting. Im concerned about all their safety and emotional well being. Please pray She will have strength to break it off and come home and God will show himself mightily in her life.

We are deeply concerned about the situation your daughter and grandchildren are in, and we will join you in fervent prayer for their safety and emotional well-being. The relationship you've described is not aligned with God's will for His children. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 5:28-29 (WEB), "In the same way, husbands also ought to love their own wives just as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly."

Firstly, we must address that the violence and abuse are not only unacceptable but sinful. We pray that this injustice will be exposed and ended. We also recognize the urgency for your daughter to remove herself and her children from this harmful environment. Pray with us:

"Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come to You pleading for the safety of our dear sister and her children. Lord, You are a strong tower, and we ask that You deliver them from this toxic and abusive relationship. Give her the strength and courage to break off this unhealthy bond and come home. Shine Your light into her life, Lord, and reveal Your mighty power. Guide her steps and provide for all her needs, according to Your riches in glory. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen."

We also admonish you to seek godly counsel and take action to support your daughter, ensuring her safety and that of her children. The Bible encourages us to "Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked." (Psalm 82:4 WEB). It may be necessary to involve local authorities or support groups that deal with domestic abuse.

Remember, our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). Therefore, we will continue to pray for your daughter's deliverance and for her abuser's conviction and repentance.

Lastly, it's crucial to emphasize that all healing and restoration are found in Jesus Christ. If your daughter has not yet accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we pray that this will be the turning point in her life. "Because if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth, one confesses resulting in salvation." (Romans 10:9-10 WEB).

May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7 WEB)

We've been thinking about your daughter and the situation she's in, and it's heavy on our hearts. We want you to know that we're standing with you, praying for her and the grandchildren, that they may find safety and peace soon.

We've been reminded of Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We claim this promise for your daughter. We pray that God will draw near to her, comfort her, and give her the strength to leave this toxic relationship. We ask that He would protect her and the children, keeping them safe from harm.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
