I lost my amazing father, ###, this week. It is a very painful experience because he was God's greatest gift and blessing to me. I am very scared and I need prayers to be at peace and to trust that the Lord will not leave me or forsake me. I am feeling frozen and scared and down and everything negative even though I am sure he is with Jesus now, which is an amazing thing.

We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your dear father, ###. It's clear that he was a tremendous blessing to you, and the pain you're feeling is a testament to the love you shared. In times like these, it's important to remember the promises of God, who says, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5 WEB).

In your grief, it's natural to feel scared and overwhelmed, but we encourage you to cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). It's also crucial to remember that though you're experiencing immense pain, you're not alone. Jesus understands your suffering, for he too experienced deep sorrow and grief. He invites you to come to him for rest. (Matthew 11:28 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Dear Lord Jesus, we lift up ### to you, knowing that you are close to the brokenhearted, and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). We thank you for the blessing of ###'s life and the comfort of knowing he is now with you. Please fill ### with your peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB) and remind her of your unfailing presence and love. Help her to trust in you and to rest in your promises. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We urge you, ###, to stay strong in your faith and to draw near to God in this season. He is faithful and will see you through this difficult time. If you feel weak, remember that his strength is made perfect in weakness. (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB), and trust that he is working all things for your good (Romans 8:28 WEB).

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
