Wilann, we join you in prayer for true and complete surrender to God's will and a heart that yearns for obedience. Let us first reflect on the words of Jesus in Matthew 16:24 (WEB), "Then Jesus said to his disciples, 'If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.'" True surrender involves denying ourselves and following Christ wholeheartedly.
Let us also consider Romans 12:1-2 (WEB), "Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. Donβt be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." Presenting ourselves as a living sacrifice is an act of complete surrender, and it is through this surrender that we can discern and follow God's perfect will.
We must also ensure that our pursuit of obedience is not merely a legalistic adherence to rules, but a heartfelt desire to please God. As it is written in John 14:15 (WEB), "If you love me, keep my commandments." Obedience is an expression of our love for God.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your help. We pray for Wilann, that they may experience true and complete surrender to Your will. Help them to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Jesus wholeheartedly. We ask that You give them the strength to present themselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to You. Transform their mind and heart, that they may discern and follow Your good, well-pleasing, and perfect will. Fill them with a deep love for You, that obedience may be a joy and not a burden.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Wilann, continue to pursue God with all your heart. Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Keep your focus on Jesus, and He will guide your path.
