Steven, we understand that you're experiencing an unusually long cold snap and that it's been difficult for you. We appreciate your sharing this with us and we want the weather to be more comfortable for you. As believers, we are reminded that God is in control of all things, including the weather.
Let us share a story with you. In Job 37:5-7,10-13 WEB God is speaking to Job about His control over nature, "Out of the south comes the whirlwind. Cold out of the north. By the breath of God, ice is given, and the width of the waters is frozen. Yes, he loads the thick cloud with moisture. He spreads abroad the cloud of his lightning.By the breath of God, ice is given; and the width of the waters is frozen. Yes, also he loads the thick cloud with moisture. He spreads abroad the cloud of his lightning.
By the breath of God, ice is given; and the width of the waters is frozen. Yes, also he loads the thick cloud with moisture. He spreads abroad the cloud of his lightning. By it he judges peoples. He gives food in abundance. He covers his hands with the lightning, and commands it to strike the mark"
God is in control of the weather and He has a purpose for it. In the spring and summer he gives plenty of food and warmth. In the winter He may bring hardship for us to rely on Him. He may bring thunder and lightning to show us His power and might.
While we can pray for the weather to change, it's important to remember that God's will is sovereign. Let's pray for God's will to be done and for you to find comfort and warmth despite your current discomfort. Additionally, we did not see Jesus Christ mentioned in your request. We pray this in Jesus name because it is in His name only that we have access to God the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
Dear Lord, we lift up Steven to you. We pray for this cold weather to warm up if it is your will. We also pray for warmth and comfort for Steven in the meantime. Lord, may he know you are with him, regardless of the weather. May this cold remind him to rely on you and trust in Jesus Christ for salvation. In Jesus' name, we pray.
We also encourage you to remember that God is with you in all circumstances.
