Heavenly Father,
We come before You with an urgent prayer request for Tom and his family, who are all suffering from COVID-19. Lord, we ask for Your healing hand to be upon Tom, his father Marshall, his stepmother Nancy, and his brother Steve. We pray that You take away the virus from their bodies, relieve the soreness in their throats, and heal whatever else is going on inside them.
Your word in Jeremiah 30:17 says, "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds," declares the Lord. We hold onto this promise for Tom and his family, believing in Your power to restore their health completely.
Father, we especially lift up Tomโs father Marshall, who is very sick and can hardly talk. As a Vietnam veteran and city counselor, he has shown strength and resilience. We pray that You give him the strength to fight this illness and that he will experience Your healing touch. Psalm 41:3 says, "The Lord sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness." We pray for this sustaining power over Marshall.
Lord, we also ask for Your intervention for Nancy and Steve. Please grant Steve a rapid recovery so he can return to work and provide for their needs. Philippians 4:19 assures us, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus." We trust in Your provision for their family.
Father, we pray for good sleep and rest for Tom and his family, as it is essential for their recovery. Psalm 4:8 reminds us, "In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety." Let them experience Your peace and safety as they rest.
We also lift up Tomโs father and stepmother, asking that they come to know Jesus as their Savior. John 14:6 tells us, "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" We pray that their hearts are opened to the truth of the gospel.
Finally, we declare victory in Jesus over this illness, knowing that the enemy is defeated at the cross of Calvary. 1 Corinthians 15:57 says, "But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." We stand on this victory and believe for a complete healing and recovery for Tom and his family.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray,
Amen.
