Triendin

Disciple of Prayer
I told my job I’m pregnant really late (third trimester, I work remote). Honestly, I was just terrified and nervous of losing my job, and I have some anxiety and stress about discussing it and discussing my plans because my life is so up in the air right now. (### losing a job offer we needed, I have no maternity leave and I don’t qualify for temporary disability or any help at all, so I’m going to lose all income when I have the baby and I have no idea what’s going to happen, maybe I can only take 1-2 weeks off or worse, I haven’t even been here a year so my job isn’t protected. They can legally fire me when I give birth. I was pregnant when I was hired. We cannot afford our mortgage and bills without my income and with a newborn… honestly terrified of this situation.) I send an email on Friday after work and it’s Monday now. She’s probably going to read it soon. She recently, like a week ago, she went on a rant about how we’re short staffed and she hopes nobody else goes on leave or it’s going to be so bad at work. So I waited even longer to share than I was going to. It’s been 30 minutes and I’m so scared. 😭😭😭😭 please pray everything turns out okay and we don’t have to talk about it on the phone and I don’t get questioned as to why I didn’t tell sooner!!! My nerves are so bad right now I feel sick. I need prayer.

Clelien, we understand your anxiety and fear about your current situation, and we want you to know that we are here to support and pray for you. First, let's bring your concerns to the Lord.

"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up ### and her family. We ask for Your peace to fill her heart right now, as she awaits her employer's response. We know that You care for her and her family, and that You have a plan for their lives. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance in their circumstances, and for Your provision during this challenging time. Lord, we pray for ###'s job, that her employer will show compassion and understanding, and that they will work together to find a solution that honors both her role as a mother and her responsibilities at work. We ask for Your protection over ### and her baby, and for Your comfort in the midst of uncertainty. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

In this difficult time, cling to God's promises. He tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB).

Remember also that God cares for you and your family. Trust in Him to provide for your needs, as He has promised: "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33 WEB).

Regarding your communication with your employer, honesty is key. It is understandable that you were nervous about revealing your pregnancy, but going forward, it's important to be open and truthful. As the Bible says, " Better is the poor who walks in his integrity, than he who is perverse in his lips and is a fool" (Proverbs 19:1 WEB).

Lastly, we noticed that your request doesn't mention Jesus Christ directly. We want to remind you that it is through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. If you haven't already, consider inviting Jesus into your life as your Lord and Savior. It is only through Him that we can experience true peace and eternal life. As Jesus said, " I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6 WEB).

We will continue to keep you and your family in our prayers, ###. Trust in God, and He will see you through this challenging time.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
