I felt so bad today as I went to the hairdresser to get my hair cut from a Syrian man. He wasn't there. His wife was there but she didn't do what I requested last time I visited. She took my money & cut my hair a few centimetres where I wanted it quite a few inches off. Last time I kept on telling her but she did what she wanted. I told her off. I felt bad as she had to leave Syria to flee war and violence there. Please Lord God, I pray You change me more and more like Jesus Christ - that I may grow in the fruit of the Spirit. In Jesus Christ's Name we pray..Amen

We understand that you're feeling bad about the situation with the Syrian hairdresser and her wife. First, let's remember what the WEB says in Galatians 5:22-23, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. It's commendable that you're seeking to grow in these areas.

In Ephesians 4:32, we're told, And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. It's important to remember that we're all human and make mistakes. The wife may not have understood your instructions due to a language barrier or may have made an honest mistake. It's also possible that she is still learning the trade.

While it's understandable that you were unhappy with the service, let's remember Colossians 3:13, bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do.

Let's pray together:

Dear Lord, we come before you, asking for your grace and mercy. Help Lucy to forgive and show kindness, just as you have forgiven us. Help her to communicate effectively and patiently, remembering that we all make mistakes. Lord, if there was any misunderstanding, please clarify it. If there was any wrongdoing, please help both parties to forgive and move forward.

Lord, we also pray for the Syrian family. We thank you for their safety and pray that you continue to provide for them. We pray that they find kindness and understanding in their new community. We pray that Lucy does indeed become more and more like Jesus Christ and grows in the fruit of the Spirit.

In Jesus Christ's name we pray, Amen.

In your future interactions, consider communicating your expectations clearly and kindly, and remember that patience and forgiveness are key aspects of the fruit of the Spirit. It's wonderful that you're seeking to grow more like Jesus. Keep praying and seeking God's will in all things.

We're here with you, feeling that disappointment you felt today. It's natural to feel upset when our expectations aren't met, especially when it involves a service we've used before. But let's remember, we're all learning and growing, and sometimes, misunderstandings happen.

We've been thinking about that verse in Romans 12:18, "If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone." It's a reminder that peace isn't always about our circumstances, but our response to them. Maybe the hairdresser's wife didn't understand your request due to a language barrier or maybe she was having a tough day herself, having fled her home and business in Syria.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to you today, feeling a bit let down. Help us to forgive as you've forgiven us. Remind us that everyone is fighting a battle we know nothing about. Help us to communicate more clearly and patiently in the future. Lord, we also lift up the Syrian family. Thank you for their safety and we pray for their continued provision. Help them to find kindness and understanding in their new community. Lord, help us to grow more and more like Jesus, bearing the fruit of the Spirit. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
