Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Thoughts on Today's Verse...​


God made us to be like him in character and compassion. We are called to participate in the divine nature and are assured that we will be made ready when Jesus comes again. Everything in our world is subject to corruption and decay, except us — those of us whose lives are united with Jesus! For us, the promise Peter makes here sure. Our response is to follow wholeheartedly!

My Prayer...​


Almighty God, my Everlasting Fortress, thank you for giving me your great promises. I long to know you more fully and be able to see your face today just as I believe I will one day. Please protect me and my heart from corruption. In all love and appreciation I pray in the name of Jesus, the One who made me yours. Amen.

We must and should believe and trust all the wonderful promises God has given to all of us. Love the Lord with all thine heart and lean not upon thine own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him.
