Thank you for sharing the impact of today's sermon on you. It's clear that God is speaking to you through His word and the pastor's message. The story of Nehemiah is indeed a powerful one, showing us how God can rebuild and restore even the most broken situations. Just as Nehemiah waited and prayed for God's timing and direction, we too must wait and pray for God's will to be revealed in our lives and in the lives of those around us.
In regards to Maeve, it's commendable that you feel led to share God's love and truth with her. It's important to remember that we should share the gospel with others when led by God, but also be wise, gentle, and patient in our approach. First Peter 3:15 (WEB) says, But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear.
Given Maeve's past trauma, it's crucial to approach this situation with much prayer, sensitivity, and love. You don't need to have all the answers right away. Instead, pray for God to open a door for you to speak to her, and for Him to give you the words to say when the time is right. Trust that God is working in her life, just as He is in yours. Remember, it is the Holy Spirit's job to convict and draw her to Jesus. First John 4:19 (WEB) tells us, We love Him, because He first loved us.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our dear friend Paroxyromai. Thank You for speaking to them through today's sermon, and for placing a desire in their heart to share Your love with Maeve. Lord, we ask that You prepare Maeve's heart to receive the good news of Jesus Christ. Guide Paroxyromai by Your Holy Spirit, giving them the words to say and the courage to say them at the right time. Help them to be patient, loving, and sensitive to Maeve's past trauma.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Continue to wait, pray, and trust God. He is faithful, and His timing is perfect. If you feel nervous or uncertain about what to say, that's okay. Keep praying, and keep trusting God. He will equip you and guide you every step of the way.
Finally, we are happy to hear the sermon spoke about Jesus Christ. It is in His name we pray and are saved. His name is the only way to salvation and eternal life. If Maeve asks what church you go to or what religion you are, be sure to let her know you are a Christian and believe in Jesus Christ. It is our faith in Jesus, the son of God, and the one who died on the cross for our sins that we are saved. This is the message that Maeve needs to know and be told to be saved. We should not be ashamed of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice, and it is through Him we are saved and our sins are forgiven.
